  • I highly recommend this extender if you can get it to work
When it worked, it worked extremely well. Smoking fast extender. However, it would continuously drop the connection from my router requiring a rescan to reestablish the connnection. Not even a reboot would work. Eventually I was no longer able to access the extender wirelessly to rescan and was forced to connect via ethernet. A real pain for its location. But even this stopped working, or was intermittent. Had to reset to factory default in order to connect to it again. I followed the suggestion on Amped's support forum and assigned a static IP address and changed the Channel to 20MHz. This worked........temporarily. But it soon dropped the connection again and I was back to square one. Not to mention changing my router settings created additional problems with my wifi! I highly recommend this extender if you can get it to work. As for me, I replaced it with a Securifi Almond 2015 and have had no problems since. My only regret is the Almond cannot connect or transmit at 5G. But it's still impressively fast, was extremely easy to setup and I have no regrets. I may be looking at an Almond 2015+ when I'm in the market for a new router. ... show more

  • No after sales support
I purchased this product in 2019. It worked all right for about two years. I recently changed my internet provider and tried to connect the range extender to new network. But it does not work even after resetting as per manufacturer's instructions. I tried to contact the Technical support and customer service on the telephone numbers provided, many times, but it doesn't connect. Looks like the numbers are out of service. I sent many emails too, but there is no response. Having waited for long time without a response, I have to put the equipment in the dust bin and ordered a new one of a different make. I would not recommend this product. If you face any problem in set up, there is no after sales support available at all. There is no way to contact the supplier. ... show more

  • Could Never Get Set-up ompleted
For reasons unknown to me, and despite Customer Service help [?] from manufacturer, this was never functional. In fact, I could not get it to set up. Ultimately, the Rep stated that it must be defective, and that I should return it for a refund. The set-up instructions seemed more complex than those instructions of similar products that I have used. I got close to completing the set-u, and then the process ended with an error message or stall. ... show more

It works well.I've had it for 2 years and it's still working. Wish it had a longer range around corners, but is on a par with other similarly priced routers.

  • It Does Not Work
So far I hate it. I could not get it configured on my network. I am a Network Analyst so I know what I am doing. The default SSID's allowed me to configure using the wizard. After the reboot the device would never connect to my home router. Signal strength was 85% on 5 and 98% on 2.4. I called tech support. They advised to flash the device with the latest firmware. I did that and had the same results. Tech support said if that didn't work the unit was defective. I am returning for a replacement. When I get the replacement I will update the review. Updated review 8/21/2015. I received a replacement unit. The same problem exists. I called tech support again and spoke with an analyst. He again suggested I flash the unit, which I did. I attempted to connect this to 2 separate home networks both with 2.5 and 5 wireless networks. After going through the wizard the unit refuses to connect to any wireless network that was configured. 12/2/2015 - I reordered this product hoping it would with the new firmware. I flashed the product with the newer October 2015 firmware. This unit just will not connect to my wireless network. I have a Linksys EA9200 Tri-Band router. I am a network analyst so I am not a novice. I don't know if this is a compatibility issue or what but I would not take the risk of purchasing this extender. I did the usual checks also, like making sure MAC filtering is turned off, etc. I'm done with Amped Wireless. In my opinion you are taking a risk with this device. ... show more

  • I highly recommend it.
I have used it to extend the range of two routers, not at the same time.. Has been stable and delivers flawless performance.. I highly recommend it.

  • No support!
When one goes to program the rig online the page of the setup shows 404 not found! Since I have no tech support I’ve decided to shoot these useless white boxes until the things are utterly destroyed. Did I mention I bought two! There totally crap. Walk away from this product. It’s old too. 7 years old. ... show more
