Has more depth of flavor than plain tomato paste. It is convenient, you just squeeze what you want. But I think you get a bit of waste because there is no way to squeeze it all out of the tube (with a can of tomato paste you can scrape it all out and don't waste a bit). I know the tubes are convenient but they should put this in a small can instead. It is a bit pricey but the flavor is worth it. ... show more

I recently ordered 12 of these because they are wonderful in my homemade hummus. I recently used some in my spaghetti (bolognese) and it was delish. I also use it in my egg beaters. I definitely would recommend this.

I love tomato based products. Whether it is homemade pizza sauce, chili, or other good tomato flavor will never steer you wrong. Locally, I can find paste in tubes, but sun-dried adds a note of flavor that just makes this easier to get online. If you are a fan of tomato flavor, I encourage you to also look into tomato powder (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tomato+powder). It is another great way to boost flavor without all the volume. I had tried this product before, but when I moved, I couldn't find it (or anything like it) in my local grocery store. I use this paste in a tomato based sausage and tortellini soup. I probably could have used regular tomato paste, but the soup wouldn't have been nearly as good. It takes this soup from homemade to restaurant quality flavor. ... show more

    • Paste is runny
I don't know if the package got too hot or if it is the product, but this product is runny and hard to press out. It is not at all like regular paste from this brand. I have tried massaging the tube to perhaps make it come out smoothly instead of spitting. That didn't work.

    • Great for a quick meal
I have used this sun-dried tomato paste for over two decades. Great for a quick mid-week meal…add to rice and add two eggs on top-done. Can just add a bit to pasta, add parmesan-done. Pantry staple with great flavor!

This is hard to get in my local supermarket. Plus it is cheaper on line. Tastes good and adds an extra depth to my tomato based dishes.
