These lights are great on the stairway. I put one on the top and bottom of the stairway, then, one on the opposite side. They are bright and work great. Easily installed the batteries (not included). Feel better having them since my mom fell one evening, missing the last step. The steps and flooring are the same dark color, so hard to see at night, but, these lights help very much!! ... show more

Just got a new place and wanted some of these to help bring down the electric bill. All of them worked perfectly except one that stayed on and would not turn off. (It’s fine if you have batteries saved up and you don’t mind replacing them if or when they run out lol) I would suggest before placing them where you want to do a test run. That way you don’t ruin your walls. Once they’re stuck on the walls, it’s very hard to get off and might rip the paint. I did a test run on each individual to make sure they worked, turned off, and turned on when motion was detected If you have an extra 10 to 15 minutes out of your day, I would recommend doing this as well so you don’t mess up any of your paint It’s really nice as well that it’s magnetized so you don’t have to worry about ripping up the wall to change the batteries What give this 4 1/2 stars just because one of the batteries has a flaw But overall really worth the money ... show more

When I bought these I wasn't sure if it was something i liked. I had them in the past, but it's totally different.Their motion sense.So as soon as I walked in the kitchen, they come on. I wanted to stick them above the sink, but I don't think I can do that. So I just gotta them sitting at the back of the sink and it works really nice. They're bright.     • CAREFUL: TOO sticky adhesive and SHARP edges on mount. Inconsistent motion sensing.

These work OK, but I have been really disappointed in how incosistent the motion sensing is between different lights in the same package. As others have noted, the adhesive is SO strong that their thin mounting magnet cannot be removed without tearing up most surfaces it attached to. I recommend finding a way to mount the magnet with something better like the 3M Command hanging strips. After removing one from a wall the edges of the thin magnet ring are almost razor sharp and I cut my fingers badly in two places. Knowing all of this, not sure I would order them again or try others. ... show more

We live in the boonies and our electric goes out very often. I was sick of getting up in the night and walking into things, so a friend suggested these. Perfect solution! You only add 2 AA batteries every few months and you are all set! I put them down the hallway, in our room and the bathroom so we save on our electric bill even if the lights work! I got these because my 70 year-old mother lives with me, we recently moved, and her new bathroom has a step she's not quite used to. The first night she spent in our new apartment she literally fell on her face when she went to the bathroom at night. I installed these the next day and they're great! Once she steps into her bathroom in absolute darkness the first one turns on, she only has to take one step and the second one turns on (the one right on the dangerous step), so she's able to see the step before moving forward. I placed a third one right next to the toilet, but I've found you have to get really close to that one for it to turn on. I moved the third one to a better spot and found that the adhesive is really strong (but leaves no nasty residue). Unfortunately, once you remove them from their original place and stick them somewhere else the adhesive doesn't work as well and the units keep falling off. I just used double-sided tape to place them in the new spot. They also come with a magnet, but, in my case, my mother's bathroom doesn't have any conveniently-placed metal for me to stick them to. They also don't stay on as long as I'd want them to (they stay on for less than a minute), but if you move they'll come back on. I do like that they are very sensitive to movement - I only have to open the bathroom door for the first two to turn on- and they only turn on when it's dark enough. If there's daylight and you can see your way around, they won't turn on. If the bathroom lights are on, they won't come on. I do hope that means the batteries will last a while. There's a very long and dark (Ceiling lights are too strong) hall between front door and two of the bedrooms. I'll be putting the remaining lights there once we get the furniture settled in that area (still in the process of placing everything where it should go). Will probably get more of these for other areas of the apartment. ... show more
