Overall the bed was easy to assemble. The metal frame was the easiest part to put together. The wood shelf section was not terribly difficult, but took some time due to the amount of pieces. The drawers are functional, but are in no way connected to the bed except for the single screw that holds it in place when it's slid into the bed. When removing the drawer, you have to lift up and pull the drawer to disconnect it, and then it becomes completely detached from the bed. The drawer has large gaps in the wire like mesh so only bigger items can be put in there without some kind of platform. The shelves up top are great for items and gives more storage in the bedroom. The closing compartment is fantastic for items you don't want readily visible. There are a couple issues with the frame. Once you put a mattress on it, the mattress becomes very soft and can squeeze between the bars. The mattress supporting bars can squeak and squeal when moving, getting in and getting out. We ended up getting a box spring to firm up the mattress where it should be and stop the squeak. The bed also it not very tall and brings even a thick mattress down very low. The frame is fairly sturdy and have not had issues with anything breaking. The wood color is also nice and matched other furniture we have gotten. ... show more

Absolutely not worth the price!!! I was under the assumption this bed frame would be sturdy and better quality than the disappointment I got. Almost every item we received to put this bed frame together was damaged. Either the corners were smashed or completely gone. The borders and the headboard pieces were all hallow and flimsy. One key component for the headboard was cracked down the middle. The amount of money for this item is does not equal the quality of the product. The print looks cheap and pixelized. The metal Platform for the base of the bed is not sturdy. That plats that go across the metal frame are shorter than the width of the metal frame, so the slats constantly fall. The process of the actual bed being assembled was not difficult just tedious with all the parts. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. Parts were labeled so easy to assemble ( if the parts weren't damaged. Once assembled the bed makes alot of noises from the connection of the metal to the "wood" any slight movement and it sounds like a door from a cheap horror movie. The sizing of the bed is almost accurate, I ordered a queen and it is a inch longer and wider than my bed. The drawers are flimsy and do not match the measurement of the bed frame so they do not sit flesh against the frame. The wheels for the drawers only move front and back. The wheels will definitely pop off of the drawer base. Only small pieces of plastic hold the draws together. The shelves on the headboard itself the hardware does not stay in the holes provided and the shelves easily fly off. The electric portion works fine and simple to install. The cord to plug in power outlet is short. !!!!!!! Don't recommend buying don't waste your money!!!!!! ... show more

If you set the correct expectations for the product, it definitely fulfills the role. I knew that the wood pieces were going to be pressed particle board, so I knew they would not be very strong. But this bed frame has a metal floor frame, so even if there's an issue with the wood, the bed will still be supported. It took us a while to build, the instructions were confusing, but we got through it. Honestly, it has been great for what it is. Absolutely love the Shelf space, the bed is supported very firmly by the floor frame, and for the price it's unbeatable. For a true piece of furniture made out of solid wood, crafted by a carpenter, we would be looking at thousands of dollars.. but this fulfills the role, and doesn't break the bank when we are struggling paycheck to paycheck. Just set the correct expectations for the product, and you won't be disappointed. But do not expect it to be the type of bed frame you would have slept on 75 years ago. Also, we did not install the drawers, that way we could have all of the room under the bed free to store everything we wanted. I can't vouch for the drawers, but the frame itself has been wonderful so far. If you're good with your hands, and can figure things out, I do recommend this bed. Just remember, it's not an expensive bed frame, so expect that type of quality. But I can't stress enough, the metal floor frame makes up for everything else, it's incredibly strong, and it's wonderful to not have constant squeaks every time we move around. ... show more
