Good product for at home gym. Thick but not too thick. Easy to install. Looks good. Rubber smell goes away with time and cleaning. The cost sucks but it’s worth it. Stay away from the rolls. This product is easy to expand if you want to add more area to it.

Easy to install and high quality. Would be great if you could order half or quarter tiles. Yeah I know I can cut them if needed but for a 6 inch strip I’m not about to buy full tiles at full price and start cutting them up.

They look great, are nice and stiff, very easy to install but my lord the smell when they first arrive is brutal. I left these outside on my deck for a week. Got these just a few days ago, so can't say much for their wear and tear, but I love them so far. They are sturdy. They fit together well and the seems seem to disappear unless you really look for them. They go great with my garage because I've got blue flecks on the floor. They don't budge an inch. I mean, I could jump all over them and they weren't moving anywhere and that's before I put my squat rack on them. No idea how well they'll protect my floor from weight dropping, but I also ordered bumper plates, so should be fine. 12'x8' is the perfect area for my squat rack. ... show more

American Floor Mats makes quality flooring. I needed some gym flooring in the basement and purchased this on 08/03/2021. I saw reviews not only on amazon but on gym forums and blogs saying that this flooring was worth the money. Yes, its on the more expensive side. Home Depot carries cheaper alternatives, but I wanted to invest in a long term solution. I placed a power rack ontop of it and I'm loving the flooring, its durable and protects my basement flooring. People are complaining about the "rubbery" smell, but honestly its not that bad... So... the not so good part of this purchase. Shipping... after going back and forth with American Flooring I finally received my shipment on 08/21/2021. If you know how UPS operates they allow sellers to "lock in" a "Z" tracking number. Its like a TBD number for the UPS system. My Z tracking was locked in same day but sat in "shipment has not been picked up check back tomorrow" for weeks. Moral of the story, if you have time on your hands and do not need the product right away, this is the flooring you want. Otherwise, i would just go pick some flooring up at home depot or lowes. ... show more

I got these for a basement gym. They work perfectly. Feel just like what was at my rec center's gym. Some reviewers mentioned the smell, but I didn't find it to smell much the rubber smell you typically get at the gym. I did open the boxes and let them vent for 24-48 hours as another reviewer mentioned. Not sure if that helped, but no smells so maybe worth a shot if you're concerned about that. The pieces all fit together nicely, everything is perfectly flat after install. The only negative was that the puzzle pieces can be tricky to connect together sometimes. They might be off by a quarter of an inch, so they don't just slide together. You can't just hit them with a mallet to force them together either because they are, as advertised, rubber so it just bounces. What ended up working for me was to just kind of bend and squish the pieces around until they fit. It's rubber so they're flexible and won't break. It's a little tedious and tough on the hands, but it worked and the end result was nice. Also, pro tip. Make sure you install this thing exactly where you want it. The full mat is heavy and difficult to move without popping the pieces apart. ... show more
