Whoever designed the packaging for this is a GENIOUS. I got this box on my doorstep and it was about the size of one of a cereal box. I was sooo disappointed when I saw that box thinking this was either going to be way smaller than I expected, like those reviews for furniture that people buy thinking it’s life sized only to find out it’s for a doll house, or just a piece of junk. To top it off I was 9 months pregnant and just not up to building things and this was for my nursery. Well, I put this thing together in 5 minutes and it is GREAT. I was pleasantly surprised. The shade was what I was most skeptical about but it turned out great, I added a pic of the Velcro seam, I just keep it towards the wall but it still looks fine, after all most shades have a seam and you can’t tell his one is velco after you put it together. It does not come with a bulb so plan to have one handy. The on/off button on the floor is also nice since it can be easily turned on/off by anyone as opposed to many that have that turn knob inside of the shade that you can only find by blinding yourself looking into the light. Would definitely buy again! And might have to since 1 isn’t quite bright enough to light the room fully to my liking, though I do like rooms extra bright. ... show more

This lamp was great for the price. I initially purchased it for temporary in my room until I bought some end table lamps, but I really think the lamp is beautiful. I was worried about the Velcro shade looking cheap, but it is beautiful w/out any wrinkles. Also, the pink casting of light is marginal and doesn’t overwhelm the room w/pink lighting. This is a great quality, budget-friendly lamp! It was super easy to assemble and it lights my room well (though that’s more on account of the lightbulb). I got a 60 watt 3000k bulb for a middle ground between soft white and soft yellow light, which ended up being exactly what I was looking for for more of a low-lighting option in my room.
