This is smooth and creamy flavored. No bitter taste, does not clog up the grinder of the espresso machine. Beans are perfectly shiny and not greasy. Tastes just as good as the expensive brand in the blue bag. Yum.

It's fine brewed as regular coffee. But, NOT espresso. I brewed several shots and changed grind size a few times. I could not get this to brew correctly and the taste was really terrible for espresso. Also, barely any "crema" out of an espresso machine. (Gaggia Classic) These beans were old too. Despite this product using the “espresso” label, it does not make espresso. Finest grind, 20 grams, overly aggressive tamp and still only takes 21 seconds to pump out 50 ml of watery nastiness. Maybe I’ll take it to my dad’s house to see if it’s better for drip.

    • Stale beans, avoid!
My bag arrived with a slight tear near the top and the beans were completely stale to the point where they could not generate pressure in my espresso machine. I threw out the bag, a complete waste. Never buying these again.

Despite the name, do not use this for espresso, unless you want to chase the grind for 15 shots only to end up with a poor tasting shot. Entirely possible that this makes decent pour over or french press - though, I wouldn't bet on it. I know, I shouldn't expect much for coffee a this price. Lesson learned. ... show more
