Everything about these are great. The feel, color, price, everything. But they run large. On me, with Levi 501 regular non-stretch jeans, I need a 38" waist. Even then the 38" Levis are tight. I ordered a 38" pair of these, and they were way too loose. I tried washing them to see if they shrink, but I don't think they changed size, still too loose. So I ordered a 36" waist pair of these, and they are very comfortable and fit in the way I like them to fit. I suggest go one size down. Mostly because they are very stretchy. I like the look of these jeans, and they are good weight, thickness, and sizing. Two things I don't like: the zipper is really short, so you have to unbuckle, unsnap, and unzip before you go. Seriously, you can't do it without unbuckling your belt (the other reviews on this are not exaggerating). Next there are only 5 belt loops total, so when I wear my cell holster on my hip, there aren't enough belt loops to hold it in position. Neither of these is a fatal flaw, but totally room for improvement, IMHO. Like you I'm sure, I read these reviews with some suspicion, but please be forewarned if either of these two issues are important to you. ... show more

This material is super comfortable, I instantly loved it. I bought the 32" waist with 28" inseam because other brand 34" jeans I recently bought from the mall are too loose. I have to admit I simply don't understand published measurements but I can share this: I'm 5'4" 145 lbs, BMI 25. The 32" waist is a perfect fit. A tailor measured my waist today with tape and it was 36". Go figure! All I can say is it fits me perfectly and I am so happy. ... show more

Generally these are decent jeans, however in my experience they seem to run very small. I typically wear size 34/32 jeans. I ordered these in size 35/32 as I wanted some extra room since I sit at a desk all day. The size 35/32 fit tighter in the waist than any of the other 34s I own.
