  • Great affordable beginner-friendly set
Size: Set of 48 Color: 48 Basic Color
I would like to preface this review with a disclaimer. I am not an artist nor am I a professional. I am a person who enjoys art and likes to color as it is relaxing and good cheap therapy. Every opinion here is subjective as all opinions are. My experience may not be your experience and that is okay too. My personal benchmark for quality alcohol markers is Copic as they were my 1st alcohol markers( a gently used second-hand Classic set from my Mother who was a graphic artist). I have tried Spectrum Noir and Promarkers but prefer Copics. I have not tried Ohuhu or Bianyo as I normally try store brands or whatever is on clearance at my local craft store. These markers are great. I have been using Artify markers for a while now. The quality and affordability were major selling points for trying them. I now own 2 sets. The brush/chisel nib alcohol markers specifically. I decided to try the 48 pc basic set. I was not disappointed. I haven't used a chisel or bullet nib in years, mainly because of the streakiness that some chisel and bullet nibs have. Especially relevant with some cheaper markers due to low-quality ink, improper shipping/handling, or poor cap designs. I was pleasantly surprised by the flat and even coverage these markers gave. The chisel is interesting in that it is narrower and pointier at the tip than most chisels are and slightly angled instead of straight. It lacks the blocky and bold feel I got used to in the past. I like it though as it gives me a better sense of control. The pros of this set far outway the cons. The cons that I found: They are not refillable, you cannot purchase markers individually except for a selective few colors, the barrel design may be difficult to get used to for some people, limited color range*, caps do not always match colors exactly**, and a small con for me personally is the silver lettering on the barrels because I have trouble seeing it. The pros that I found: The color names and codes are on the caps and the barrel itself, sturdy cute packaging that is pretty enough to display, DIY color stickers for the barrels so there is no guesswork in determining what the color actually looks like vs what the cap says it looks like ( Depending on the paper used), Blending guide with reference pictures and techniques, DIY swatch card, reversible nibs, bright bold colors, the barrel design keeps it from rolling and removed some pressure from my joints as I have to hold the marker in a certain way, good ink flow without being overly juicy/drippy, longer tips, pretty good color selection for a basic set, easy blending, and the compact design. Overall a very solid set that is affordable***, beginner-friendly, and high quality. These are comparable to the Copic Classic markers. * (meaning mids, pastels, and skin tones but it is a basic set after all) ** ( not exactly a con as it is a common thing even with expensive brands but still worth mentioning) *** Compared to Copics( Classic/Sketch). The average cost per Artify marker is $1.60 USD VS $5.25 USD per Copic. I hope this review will help someone decide if they want to take the risk of buying them. I definitely recommend them though. ... show more

  • Beautiful!
Size: Set of 48 Color: 48 BASIC
I purchased this product with a gift certificate given to me by Artify. I contacted Artify with a question regarding the Boho set I purchased, and in addition to a quick answer from a human in customer service, I was offered the opportunity to review this basic color set. Very positive feelings about the company. Disclaimer: I am not an artist. At least I don’t draw much. I build custom guitars, and my previous experiences with alcohol markers have been in using them as part of the finish process, so I have a feel for the most expensive brand out there. These feel and behave the same. I won’t bore you with my artwork, but I have included images of the product. These arrive very nicely wrapped and I highly recommend them as a gift. The packaging is gorgeous. The boxes are sturdy, have a magnetic closure, and the dividers inside the box are substantial with plenty of room between markets so they are easy to grab. The lids fit tight. No smell leaks out (no smell… no premature drying). The brush tip feels good. The chisel tip is crisp. Artify includes a printed swatch card, a blank swatch card, and stick on labels for you to use on the markets themselves. It’s a nice touch. The blender marker works really well. I have added an image of my own swatch book. This paper darkens the colors a bit more than the swatch card they send for you fill. These colors are very bold and vibrant. I think you will need to supplement flesh tones for portrait work. The grays are very intense, and probably not suitable for subtle shading, but I don’t think that is what this set is for. This is a statement making set. I have also included an swatch image of the lightest gray colors I have been able to collect from another maker for comparison. Class act. ... show more

  • Terrific Markers
Size: Set of 48 Color: 48 Basic Color
This is a great product. My friends and I get together and paint with water colors. We used these markers together with the Artify Alcohol Brush Markers to paint bottles. This is an example of what I did. These markers are easy to use and come in a great, easy to use, storage case. Fantastic markers at an unbeatable price! ... show more

  • Fabulous colors
Size: Set of 48 Color: 48 Basic Color
These Art Markers are a steal! You get 48 vibrant colors that are exactly as advertised. Every marker tested perfectly and the test against the swatches also matched well. I also like that I didn’t get marker all over my hand when I use them. This pack also has a really good variety of colors and skin tones. My daughter loves to draw anime and she said these are exactly the right ones for that. ... show more

  • My new favorite set of markers!
Size: Set of 48 Color: 48 Pastel Color
Artify reached out to me to review their pastel marker set and I'm so so happy with the quality of them! I have two other Artify marker sets, and while I love those as well, I can honestly say that this set is the best one I own. I had no issues with accidentally creating dark lines in big blocks of color when I went over an area I just colored in. And, if you work fairly quickly you can blend together two different colors very smoothly and get a nice gradient. I was surprised to see that when I went over a dry part of the drawing with another color, the lines I drew didn't bleed out or smudge and everything stayed nice and crisp. The different shades in this set are beautiful and they all go nicely together. They even include a labeled swatch card with the set, which is super handy to be able to easily see what colors you have available! I highly recommend the pastel set if you're looking on expanding you marker collection. It includes so many shades that I didn't yet have and I'm so excited to be using these more often now! ... show more
