  • Saved my skin in a 50 MPH lowside!
Color: Black Size: X-Large
This jacket is really good for the price! It could use some improvements, but overall its a great jacket! I went down doing around 50 mph in the twisties and it saved me from some seroius rash! So far I've worn it in temps that range in the high 40's to nearly 100° along with rain. The fit is great, plenty of room in the pockets, the zip out liner is effective and the waterproofing is top notch. I rode 30 miles in a summer rainstorm last week and the jacket didn't leak. The only places I ended up getting wet was where water ran down my neck and up my sleeves as I wasn't wearing gauntlets. Even with the damage sustained from lowsiding 2 weeks prior. When I went down, the stitching, armor & fabric did their jobs and did them well!!! I went down on my left side and the sleeve sustained some minor tearing. The sleeve adjuster snap on the forearm also got ground down. The shoulder and elbow armor kept me from winding up with a more severe injury than just being sore. The only thing that could use some improvement is the ventilation system. This jacket does tend to get hot. The exhaust vents on the rear of the jacket are perfectly placed, but there really aren't any intake vents on the front. They're closer to the armpits and the flaps face the wrong way, so there really isn't any cooling effect. If the front vents were vertical and on the chest, then this jacket would be AWESOME! ... show more

  • Warm in the cold weather and nicely padded
Color: Black Size: Large
Bought this for a beginning motorcycle class when I thought it likely I'd be riding in the rain. In fact, it rained all day the second day of class, and was about 50 degrees. The jacket was comfortable over my lined riding jacket and added more warmth, plus it totally kept out the rain, at least at parking lot speeds. I was way better off than classmates without rain gear. The only thing I'll mention is that I bought this, which is all black, because I didn't want any gaudy gear, only to find out during the class that of course bikers are hard for motorists to see, and you should wear bright gear for as much visibility as possible. Uh oh. I wound up buying a super bright safety vest and wearing it on top. Problem solved. Oh, and the armor was great, too. I don't know how much it will help at 70 mph, but I dropped my bike twice--overconfident and rusty after not riding for 40 years and those super slow u-turns are murder. As I was lying on the asphalt in the rain, contemplating my momentary great fault, I was thinking huh, that actually didn't hurt a bit, and in fact I had zero bruises the next day. So I am really sold on this gear. Sure, small bikes, slow speeds, but OTOH I'm in my 70s so I don't bounce especially well. I felt well protected. OTOH, I don't plan to test this gear at street speeds, but I'm very glad I got it. We'll see how well it does in warm weather. Otherwise, highly recommended. Oh, and the price is excellent, too! ... show more

  • A very nice jacket for the money!
Color: Black Size: Large
This jacket was a real bargain and a good addition to my arsenal of motorcycle gear. The fit was right on--I'm 6', 185 lbs. with wide shoulders and long arms and the LARGE was just right. The zip out liner gives it a wider temperature range, which will serve me well in a variety of seasons. It's comparable to other jackets costing $100 or more. PS: If you buy one, don't freak out over the slight factory smell of the fabric--just hang it outside for a day and it will go away. ... show more

  • Perfect jacket
Color: Black Size: Large
I'll keep this simple. It's a great jacket. I'm 6'1" and weigh about 150lbs. I bought the large figuring I'll be wearing layers underneath. The jacket just arrived and I tried it on... And it's a perfect fit. I pulled all the adjustments tight and I can tell with a few more layers underneath it'll still be comfortable to wear. The pads are right where they need to be. The sleeves are long enough to stay at my wrists when extended. It's warm. Water rolled right off. I sincerely didn't expect to receive quality for this price but I was wrong. It's a really nice jacket. So if you're slim and wondering if this will fit well...it does. ... show more

  • Warm Jacket, Great Fit, Comfortable, Good Value
Color: Green Size: Large
Riding in SC, I would consider this a 3-season jacket (Fall, Winter, Spring). With only 2 small air vents on the front, there's no way I'd ride with this jacket above 80 degrees. I generally have a hard time finding jackets that are long enough for my arms, and fit snug enough around the chest. I'm 6'5", 195 lbs and the large fits me perfect. Sleeves ride up a tad while riding, but it's tolerable. Armor is ok, however I'd upgrade it to some better protection, but you have to do this with more expensive jackets as well. My only real CON comes from the back protector opening. IT IS WAY too small to stuff a decent back protector in it. You have to rip it a bit. Doesn't effect the jacket, but seems a bit of an oversight. For $50, I just can't fault it. It's a good jacket, not covered in gaudy logos, and does what it's supposed to. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Color: Green Size: X-Large
Great jacket. Great fit. Well made. Right out of the box you can tell it's a sturdy jacket. Stitching is solid and put together good. Fit was pretty much on. I'm 6'1" 210lbs. I measured right at 42" in the chest and debated about getting the large, but was wanted a bit of room for layering in cooler weather, even with the liner that came with the jacket., so I went with the XL. Good move. Fits good in all areas and has plenty of adjustments. Was hoping the liner would be a bit heavier for cooler weather, but I also had planned on layering clothes anyway. All pads and armor are in the right places and fit right. I like that the vent zippers are well marked or has highlight fabric around it. Overall a great biy for the price. Hope I dont have to use it for the reason I bought it, but it's a great peace of mind that I have it , just in case UPDATE: Cold weather riding. Have had the jacket a couple months and still holding up well. I've put over 3000 miles while wearing this jacket and really like it. Jacket has kept me very comfortable in 50 degree weather, riding 50+ miles at a time. Also did a 42 degree ride and was comfortable. ... show more
