I have two domestic indoor/outdoor shorthair cats under three years old, nothing special, but they are picky eaters wanting only Friskies. I have tried many ‘natural’ grain free brands but they won’t eat them at all— wasted so much money throwing cat food to the dogs. But they will actually eat Wonder Bound, that is most of the time. We had gone through half of a carton, at least, that they wouldn’t eat even though they had eaten happily to begin the box. And at first they seem to like beef, but then they wouldn’t eat it so I ordered chicken only which they seem to be happy with right now— though I understand chicken is inferior food for cats. (Mine surely prefer a more natural diet since they’re always catching mice and bringing them in the house!) I also feed them a kibbles type food because I understand they need both types, soft and hard food, that cats do not really like to drink water, and if they eat only kibble they have to drink a lot of water. (Andromeda prefers wet food while Orion prefers dry; go figure. I think they do it just to be contrary.) ... show more

I have two cats who aren't finikey particularly when it comes to wet cat food and they wouldn't touch this until I physically put it on their mouths, then both cats ate it. I initially gave it a negative review but I think I'll order it again in one of the other flavors my cats enjoy. One cat is allergic to salmon, chicken & grain. The other cat hates salmon & chicken so perhaps the cod & shrimp. Good value compared to Fancy Feast being almost $10 cheaper; however Fancy Feast has 30 cans and Wonder Bound only 24 but still a little bit cheaper. ... show more

I bought this food to give my cat more variety & the ingredients look healthy. Would give 5 stars if there was a shredded version. Also my picky cat does not like one of the flavors.

They say the proof is in the kitty, and the kitty proves it by either eating or turning his nose up at new cat food. Don't ask me why we keep changing brands, to save money I guess. Then one comes along like this that is a lot less money yet comes from an Amazon brand and has better ingredients and we don't have to get in the car and drive to the pet food store at five bucks a gallon for gas. I won't read the list of ingredients to you, its on the label. Whenever you switch brands or even flavors of cat food the experts suggest mixing in a little at a time over about a week to your cat's regular flavor. We don't follow rules, so kitty gets a new flavor wham bang and we stand back and watch to see if he likes it. It's enough to make a car neurotic. This one is a winner. While sometimes he walks away and sometimes he licks up some and leaves some behind, this is one that he licks the plate clean. You can read endless reviews, and of course they are nothing but opinions. We don't know how the food tastes and our cats can't tell us. The only way we know is if they eat it or leave it. But caution, every cat is different and a glowing review from a human about one brand only applies to their cat (on a good day - cats are fickle). What their cat likes your cat might ignore. As always my advice is to buy the smallest quantity, try it, and if it's a thumbs, er paws, up from kitty then keep on buying it. ... show more

A three and half star rating. The second ingredient of chicken broth was part of the reason for purchasing this. However, the pate is on the dry side; more broth is needed for processing. Hi everyone meet Vaca, our senior rescue cat. She was having a really hard time gaining weight because she couldn’t keep down several different kinds of foods. This food has been a hit for 2 weeks straight! It isn’t the best in terms of odor but it could definitely be worse. Also, it’s wet cat food so there is bound to be some smell! We have had no throwing up and Vaca’s appetite has increased! She used to stomach a can a day but now we can do two cans a day. It is almost always devoured as soon as I put it down. Beware of reviews saying their cats turn their nose up to it. Remember cats are imprint eaters, and will stick to what's familiar. It's hard to transition them, and takes TIME and patience. A sudden transition will obviously lead to diarrhea, or your cat just not eating it. I'm feeding this in rotation with two other brands to my kittens, and they gobble it up.
