I have a cane corso rescue that came underweight and just not in good shape. I went through several foods before deciding to give wonder bound a shot. So far it’s the first kibble my dog seems to truly enjoy and I enjoy the end of loose stools. Do you have any idea what it’s like cleaning up an older mastiff puppy’s diarrhea? You can’t even use paper towels, at times I felt like I needed a hazmat suit. This kibble is saving me loads in cleaning supplies, the kibble itself is well priced but the amount I save in floor cleaners alone makes this a bargain. Did you know dogs could shart? This is the Wonder Bound puppy food for large breed dogs. The bag is very large! It’s a 15 pound bag for $20.99, which is super affordable and it is very convenient that you can order such a large bag online without any additional shipping costs (and nice to not have to carry it in the pet store and to and from your car). This is the chicken and rice formula, which I like because that is usually a safe bet for dogs with stomach issues. I know a lot of reviews are upset about the corn content, which I haven’t done too much research into, but I have read that it’s hard to digest. However, I think for an affordable food option for dogs, you can’t expect it to be the highest quality ingredients you could have. I think that’s how they are able to keep the cost down. My solution is to just mix this dog food in with a higher quality dog food with better ingredients, so that the higher corn content doesn’t affect them as much and they still get plenty of nutrients in. Overall, I think this is a good puppy food option for the price point and the bag of food arrived in good condition and was fresh. It even has a resealable top, so you can zipper it back up in-between each feeding. ... show more

Amazon Brand - Wonder Bound Large Breed Puppy Dry Dog Food (Chicken and Rice) Size: 15 Pound (Pack of 1) Wonder Bound is an Amazon brand but I wasn’t familiar with it. I did read the ingredients which all seemed pretty good for the price. It has chicken as the first ingredient followed by white rice, wheat flour, chicken by-product meal, rice bran, ground corn, corn gluten meal, dried egg product, chicken fat, and more ingredients. I have two giant St Bernards. One, is a pup and he pretty much eats anything, but my older pup is extremely picky when it comes to food. Luckily for me, she is picky in an affordable way, she will only eat the cheapest most unhealthy foods available to buy, think Dollar store brand foods, thats the only stuff she will eat. Try getting her to eat anything "healthier" and she will literally go days without eating. With that in mind, I always am trying new foods, and struggling to find the right balance between, wont die of a heart attack, and will actually eat it. I think I struck gold with this food, both of my kiddos love it, It may not be the snootiest "health" food for them, but its definitely better than the alternatives they currently eat. Even better, if you add water to it, it makes a nice little thick gravy like consistancy that my dogs adore. Unfortunately, since they can pretty much finish a 30# bag in a week, I will likely be using this brand more of an additive or mixer, than as their primary food source from now on. ... show more

My dog will eat anything and everything so I can't say for sure it was anything special. He gobbled it up so I'm guessing he liked it. Price is comparable to other higher quality dog food.

Dog loves this food, so I’m guessing flavor is to his liking, and it smells pretty good. No problems from switching food, and good solid 💩 so no intestinal issues that I can see. The vitamins are great, good for puppies who will get large, especially the joint supporting vitamins. The ingredients are alright. Chicken is the first ingredient which is great. Among the top list though, I see chicken-by-product, which is low grade feed from by-products, not like chicken meal, which is intentionally created chicken mix that’s higher quality. I also see corn, which is a filler, and not digestible by dogs. When we first adopted dogs long time ago, I didn’t know anything so we fed the dogs some lower grade commercial food from the big markets that had a lot of corn. One of the puppies were eating her own food, and later we learned that sometimes, if the food has stuff they can’t digest, their poop smells like their food so I they eat it 😭. So if you see such behavior from any puppies, need to steer away from corn based food. This only happened to 1 out of 5 dogs we’ve raised so far, so if you don’t have this problem, it should be fine. ... show more
