  • WAG vs. Taste of the Wild
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
Looks like TotW, smells like TotW, and feels like TotW. My dog didn't even notice a difference. Granted he also eats napkins, wood chips, and food other dogs already digested. But inside the bowl the rules are different. We are picky. I'm no dog food connoisseur, but looks to me like this Amazon-product* is aiming at Taste of the Wild. I can't see about the quality of the ingredients, TotW has a good reputation and is excellent stuff. We'll see where this is going. On one hand I would hate to see a smaller company loosing sales because of a giant going for market shares, on the other hand it's always good to raise the bar. If a coexistence makes quality dog food more affordable for some who otherwise wouldn't buy a quality brand, then that's okay with me. Given that I'm right about putting these two brands next to each other. ____ *According to the label ... show more

  • Premium food - reasonable cost
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
After doing a little research on decent pet food, Amazon's "Wag" chow comes out on top. Compare the ingredients to dog chow that costs twice as much and you'll be surprised. "Wag," Costco's Kirkland brand and Tractor Supply Store's 4health label all provide excellent nutrition for the price. For those who want everything made in the USA, my understanding is that some ingredients (like Taurine according to one manufacturer) can only be purchased overseas. Most everything else is manufactured in the U.S. Quick service and good value. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY!
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 30 Pound (Pack of 1)
I don't know WTF is in this but it's clearly not food! My dog will throw it up hours after eating and it will still look solid. The pic that is included with this is 5 hours after eating. Sometimes there's alot some times it's just a few but either way he never had this problem on his old food.

  • VOMITING—3 dogs/3 diff breeds/3 diff ages
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 30 Pound (Pack of 1)
DO NOT BUY. We have 3 rescue dogs. They range from age 2-14. We have used different dog brands throughout the years. I was frustrated with the clunky online ordering interface for a local pet store that made ordering really tough. We mixed our old dog food into this new dog food. We gave it over three weeks and our dogs kept randomly vomiting. The picture of this dog food bag looks so modern and the ease of ordering from Amazon is so easy—but not worth it. If it helps —I took the time to leave this review to spare other dogs and dog owners—even though I have four children. ... show more

  • Made our dogs violently ill.
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
Worst dog food ever. Put us though a huge scare. We have 2 small dogs and they started vomiting shortly after starting on this dog food. We’re not just talking a little vomiting... repetitive vomiting. So we discontinued use disappointed and worried that it could have long term effects. For a week after our dogs had swollen lymph glands and still weren’t acting 100% normal. Yesterday morning I was half asleep and dumped food out of our food container with spout and went on my way. That’s when the vomiting started again. I had forgotten that we had a new replacement food that was in a bag and not switched out yet. I was so disappointed in myself for forgetting, but even more disappointed in the company that could make a food like this and that AMAZON claims this brand. We had tried the WAG chicken jerkey about a year or so ago and my dogs literally wouldn’t eat it so it went in the garbage. If you are sitting there thinking “What’s one bad review when this food is so cheap and well marketed?” Think again. We are thankful to still have our pups not to mention thousands of dollars in vet bills we could have accrued if we had continued feeing them this dreadful food. ... show more

  • Buyer Beware
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 30 Pound (Pack of 1)
This gave my dog the runs. I tried this product on separate occasions to make absolutely sure it wasn’t something else. Dog did not like this product and actually didn’t want to eat it and I had to give her different food. I’m afraid there might have been something wrong with this batch.

  • Bad reaction
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 30 Pound (Pack of 1)
First the back story: I've got a finicky husky, and a shiba inu that will eat anything. I try to rotate the dog foods so my husky doesn't get bored. Neither dog takes more than a day to get digestively used to the dog food, and a 30 lb bag usually lasts about 35 days. For the first two weeks, my iron stomached husky had very loose, light colored wet poop, and my shiba had the same along with a yellowish vomit that smelled like the food. The second two weeks have been better (i.e. occasional vomit, and light colored poop when eating only the food); however their food consumption is down by 30-40%, and I've had to add eggs, meat, and veggies to the food to encourage them to eat. It might be a bad batch, or just an ingredient doesn't agree with them, but I will not be returning to Wag. ... show more

  • Quality food, reasonably priced and my smaller dogs love it.
Flavor Name: Chicken Size: 30 Pound (Pack of 1)
First off I’ll admit I’m not enough of an expert to rate the quality of the ingredients in this food. However I always research any dog food before I switch to see what actual experts say and make sure I’m not feeding my dogs something unhealthy or potentially harmful. I was satisfied with what I was able to find out about Wag so I gave it a try. What I can say is my three small dogs love this food. I have two Brussels Griffons and a pug who can be a picky eater and it’s not often I find something suitable for all three. I was a little concerned the pieces might be too big for the Brussels Griffons but they don’t seem to have any problem with it and my pug ate it without hesitation the very first time I gave it to them. If you have smaller dogs you know it can be a challenge finding the appropriate size food in bulk at a reasonable price. Food for toy breeds would be ideal but it’s typically sold in smaller sized bags at a premium cost. I love my dogs but there’s a limit to how much I can spend to feed them. So far so good with Wag. They’ve gone thru two 30 lb. bags of the “chicken and brown rice” recipe with no issues and I recently switched to “beef and lentil with wild boar” and they seem to love it just as much. Hopefully you’ll have great results as well and if you catch it on sale it’s definitely worth a try. ... show more
