  • High fat content gave my dog acute pancreatitis
Flavor Name: Turkey & Chicken (Pate), 12 Pack
Ever wake up at 3am to your dog squirting bloody stool all over her kennel and the floor? If you buy this dog food, you just might! What a horrible experience! Three veterinarian trips over the course of two months, totaling over $1,000 in expenses, to correctly diagnose the 9% crude fat content in this food (and the 15% crude fat in the Wag dry food) was causing this disgusting and very unpleasant illness. Amazon says on their can the nutritional content is developed according to the guidelines of the AAFCO. The AAFCO says crude fat should be at 5.5%, not 9%. The veterinarian pointed out, a dog food meeting basic minimum requirements for nutrition does NOT mean it has been feed tested over months and years to see what kind of effect is has on them! This food had a very expensive and potentially life threatening effect on my dog and I will never buy it again. I encourage you not to either!! ... show more

  • Wasted Money Due To Unusable Cans
Flavor Name: Beef & Vegetable (Stew), 12 Pack
First, I want to make it clear that the dog food itself is excellent. My dog loves each of the stew recipes, and I have noticed that her coat and skin have improved since I switched her to the Wag brand. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I am pleased at all with the quality of the cans. At first they were fine, but the last few cases I have received have had several dented cans. This case has almost every can extremely dented to the point where pressure built up in the can. When I attempted to open one this morning, the can literally exploded as soon as I tried to pop the top sending projectiles of meat flying across the kitchen! I feel extremely lucky that I wasn't injured aside from getting gravy all over my hand and arm. Obviously I will not be using any of this shipment, so that is a $20 waste of money. There was no outward damage to the plastic wrap or cardboard box, so I can only conclude the damage to the cans is happening during processing at the plant. If this continues, I will reluctantly look for a different brand of dog food. Such a shame because the food is excellent quality. ... show more

  • Not sure
Flavor Name: Chicken & Vegetable (Stew), 12...
Tried this and I am not sure about it. All the cans were rusty for some reason. It kind of weirded me out. The food looked ok and my dog ate it but he's been having a bit of diarrhea. Not sure if it is this food or not but I probably won't get it again.

  • Where is the meat?
Flavor Name: Lamb & Vegetable (Stew), 12 Pack
Not sure how I feel about this. The case arrived with half of the cans out of shape being dented etc and then the content appears mostly broth/watery with some peas and chunks of pate floating around to give the appearance of meat. The smell is also a bit off. My dog ate a bit of it but was not over the moon the way he usually is when getting wet food. I will see how he likes it over the next few days but all in all, I guess you get what you pay for! ... show more

  • Love Wag brand
Flavor Name: Lamb & Vegetable (Stew), 12 Pack
I'm so pleased Amazon came out with Wag canned food. I'm a huge fan of the puppy dry food for my growing Mastiffs. I have been using a canned 95 percent chicken to add to the food but it is VERY expensive. I was hoping Amazon would expand the Wag line and they did. We have the chicken stew and lamb stew now and my boys eat it right up. Each can is filled to the top with meat there are veggies and sauce but they are not the star. This is not a can of sauce and veggies with a couple of bits of meat it is the opposite. Great deal easy open cans no opener needed. It meets AAFCO and has no fillers. I am a fan as are my dogs. ... show more

  • Pickiest dogs ever Love this!
Flavor Name: Beef & Vegetable (Stew), 12 Pack
I have tried nearly every dog food on the market! They would eat it for a few days then stop. This dog food they wake me up early for. They wait at the dish. Still they love it! Thank you for making something they eat and love!

  • Boxer approved.
Flavor Name: Beef & Vegetable (Stew), 12 Pack
I’m basing my review on how my 3 yr old Boxer is responding to it. Boxers have a sensitive stomach, so we don’t wonder off from what he is use to too much. I like the stew style cans, and I would get either Blue brand or Taste of the Wild. I figured I’d try this one due to price and Amazon hasn’t let me down so far. Been feeding it to him for 2 weeks now. Hasn’t thrown up once, stool is normal, and he cleans the bowl every time. I’ll be sticking to Wag for now. ... show more

  • THIS DOG FOOD HAS ONION AS AN INGREDIENT.
Flavor Name: Lamb & Vegetable (Stew), 12 Pack
I DISLIKED THE FACT THAT IT HAD ONIONS WHICH CAN KILL DOGS!!! It's possible that a small amount MIGHT not bother a large dog very much but my dogs are small. I put this in the garbage. I was afraid to even donate it because I would be heartbroken if I cause someone else to lose a beloved pet. Rebecca Crossland ... show more
