  • 35% High Protein / Grain Free / 30lbs at a Great Price
Wag actually has no price competitor for their product when comparing quality of ingredients and protein content anywhere in the Dog Food Industry. Where can you find 30 LBS OF DOG FOOD at this price with NO CHICKEN MEAL added to boost the overall protein content to 35%. Blue Buffalo adds chicken meal to their salmon dog food . Yes I know Wag does add some chicken fat including brewers yeast and pea protein but the ingredients listed INCLUDING MINERALS AND SUPPLEMENTS look overall impressive I'd even say to some degree exceptional. Since Amazon offers frequent discount specials on this product even the $45.99 listed is not often the price actually paid. If you have a dog with a sensitive stomach? I'm especially impressed with the Lactobacillus count of 2,000,000 mg added as an Immune/Digestive system booster. In fact Merrick as good as they are, they don't even list the Lactobacillus count on their bag and it's priced around $65.00 for only 22lbs. That goes for Blue Buffalo too. The amount of Omega 6 is 2.5% and Omega 3 at 0.4 % for a mid range priced dog food is more than respectable as well. Vitamin E added at 150 mg is a supplement even the higher priced dog foods fail to even include in their bags sold. My dog loves the taste. The salmon scent is not as strong as higher priced brands but still present. Overall, I rate this dog food for the price paid to be in a class all their own. Other salmon dog food products out there with lower protein content and limited ingredients like American Journey and Diamonds Natural are a viable alternative. Both are affordable, no chicken fat or meal added and contain quality ingredients high in nutrition . HOWEVER, they do reduce the protein content to 25% which for many dog owners is totally unacceptable on all accounts. MY OVERALL CONCLUSION, you do get more wags for the buck in selecting Wag dog food with salmon. ... show more

  • Pretty decent ingredients
Flavor Name: Salmon & Sweet Potato Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I mix it as 50/50 with another well know brand to broaden the ingredients of her food and the price is good. It's kibble so you there are some tradeoffs for overall quality. I subscribe and get a 30# bag every two months

  • WOW
Flavor Name: Chicken & Lentil Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My boy is so picky you would not believe it. I was going back to Nutro. I take the lamb and I hide it in real chicken so he will eat it and get good stuff out of it. I don’t think they get all they need from just meat. AMAZON had a Little ad at the bottom for this one. I read the ingredients and I discovered I liked the sounds of it more than I liked the Nutro. I have been persistent with the other one because law-enforcement that I work for always said it to the K9. Well, I bought wag and I am not sorry except I bought too small a bag and we ran out. His new order is due today. Yes, I bought the big bag. I feel pretty good about the fact he will be eating it. No more wasted food. FYI I have tried just about every dog food you can think of regardless of the price he did not like it. Kudos to AMAZON again I see they have a dry food for cats. I think I need to check that one out. If it comes in a smaller bag, it appears to compare with taste of the wild or one of the other top brands and usually nothing beats TOW in my eyes but after seeing how wag worked, I’m going to try it. With 40 mouths to feed of our inherited colony, that we are working our hardest to get spayed and neutered, saving on food while giving them top quality is a priority to me. ... show more

  • Quality food, exorbitant price
Flavor Name: Chicken & Sweet Potato Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
First and foremost, Wag dog food is good. Very good, in fact; it's ingredient profile and quality is similar to high-end pet foods. My Boxador (Jax) and Shiba Inu (Thena) both love it, and it seems to love them -- lustrous coats, no digestive issues, and a clean bill of health all around. Now, here's the problem: there was a time when Jax was a puppy and Thena was but a glimmer in her daddy's eye when Wag was actually an affordable dog food option. Over the past two or three years, Amazon has consistently raised the price, to the point that it is no longer the same "budget" option -- when you're paying Wag prices, you may as well choose a more well-known option. I suppose there is something to be said about doorstep delivery, and while Wag isn't the worst choice, it doesn't seem to have the same veterinarian recommendations backing it as something like a Purina Pro Plan or Blue Buffalo. With the constant price increases since the COVID-19 pandemic, Wag went from a no-brainer budget option to a premium-priced competitor to higher end foods. To that end, the choice isn't as apparent as it once was. All in all, the food is good, but the price is getting out of hand. With its competitive advantage (price) removed from the equation, you may as well go with a different dog food. ... show more

  • Delicious!
Flavor Name: Salmon & Sweet Potato Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My very, very picky eater (senior Pug) loves this salmon sweet potato mix. It is such a relief to me because in the past I’ve tried very expensive specialty brands and vet-recommended kibble which he wouldn't touch. TJ is 15 now and I am so grateful to Amazon for creating this healthy food choice for him. Thank you, Amazon! ... show more

  • Its a Challenge to find the right food
Flavor Name: Salmon & Sweet Potato Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have an old guy springer spaniel. He has a lot of skin allergies, and I've gone through all kinds of tests and found out he is allergic to corn, pumpkin, and rice. Bummer, and most dog food uses these ingredients as fillers. We even do monthly shots and that has helped but has not eliminated the skin allergy issues totally. At first I was excited that noew they now have grain-free dry dog food, but then I read protein without grain is bad on their hearts. And I also read that salmon oil was very healthy for dogs. I was buying Wag salmon and lentils, but I don't think they make that anymore, so now we are trying Salmon and Sweet Potato, and I had cooked barley and add about 1/4th cup with each meal, for the needed grain and fiber, and his skin is the best looking it has been in years, and he seems to like this food, and poop looks great and healthy. Please, Amazon, don't eliminate this food too! I want this boy to last as long as he can! Yes, it's kinda pricey, but worth it! He's the best and has to live forever! ... show more
