It took a little toying with the find the 'perfect' morning recipe with this, but I've just about nailed it! It tasted very 'green-y' up until then. Basically I mix this little chocolate powder with some cold brew iced coffee, vanilla almond milk, and my favorite chocolate protein shake. I mix it in my blender to fully combine all the powders, then pour it over ice. It. Is. AMAZING. Definitely the best (and healthiest) breakfast pick-me-up shake I could have! The coffee cancels out the vague vegetable flavor (I know, I know -- it's a veggie powder. But still.) and the almond milk makes everything a little thicker than with just plain coffee. The nutrition facts in the picture are not the nutrition on the jar. There is no Riboflavin Niacin Vitamin b6 Folic acid vitamin b12 Iodine Selenium Manganese That's a lot to be missing.

PRO: Ingredients sounded good, like a good balance, which is why I purchased it CONS: TASTE and TEXTURE - LIKE MUD. ENERGY/HOW I FELT - I did give it a good try. BUT having used Spirulina powder, Wheatgrass shots and Wheatgrass powder, just a basic protein powder....this just paled for me. I get an energy boost from Spirulina and Wheatgrass, this....just nothing. I felt better NOT using it, than using it. Different things work for different people, tastes vary. I have been using this for several months and loved it and the chocolate flavor was great. I am unsure if something has changed or there was just a bad batch but my last container tasted awful so I did a return. Got new container and unfortunately it tastes just as bad. I will give it one more exchange to see if it was just a fluke bc I want the benefits of the product but cannot drink it if it is going to taste so bad. I can't even tell there's chocolate in it but it looks brown. ... show more

I have tried numerous different green powdered drinks and find Amazing Grass to be the best by far. It blends up easily with just a spoon and to me is definitely the best tasting. I alternate between the chocolate, berry, orange cream and original as they are the only ones that don't contain stevia. That is my only complaint, I wish they would leave the stevia out as to me it ruins it and it is easy to add stevia if you want that flavoring but impossible to eliminate it once it is already there. If you are not used to green drinks it will take awhile to get used to the taste and the chocolate helps a lot with the favor. I find that mixing it in smoothies is a big mistake as it will ruin the smoothie, I just put it in water and down it and enjoy the benefits. ... show more

It’s pretty good as long as you don’t drink it straight or add too much in your favorite shake. The taste is real earthy! If you have super taste buds then you’ll prefer the chocolate over the regular flavor. I have gotten use to it now. I mix it with my protein shake and it taste good. You might have to add it to your taste preference. As far as the health effects, I am a repeat customer. It has my immune system in great shape. I can tell the days I miss taking it. Flavor. Good. Smells. Great. Works. Efficiently. I am trying this for the first time, needed probiotics but wanted some flavor for easy to drink healthy shakes. I take this with other dietary supplements/pills taken apart and put into one and because I started them around the same time, I'm not 100% that it's due to this, but I feel like it is the powder that is helping my gut and digestion.
