  • Love this watch/fitness tracker
This watch works great. I use the "sports" feature for fitness walks or jogs. It (and its app) give you lots of information. It connected super easy to my Samsung Galaxy 9 phone with their android app and I never have any trouble with it. It tracks my sleep, my steps, my fitness walks/jogs - keeps the time, will do my heart rate automatically when tracking a fitness workout. Its easy to charge and fast. I don't even have to charge it every day - usually every other day it will get down around 50% and that's when I charge it in the evening while watching tv. The only thing I wish is that it was compatible with my Google Fit app (which I still use) and that you could track more types of activities with the watch instead of just mainly running, walking, cycling, etc. For instance, yoga or calisthenics or kickboxing or whatever workout I might want to do - those I end up tracking on my Google Fit app, and my AmazFit watch just counts step-type movements that I'm doing in the workout, but does not recognize it as a specific type of workout. It is compatible with the Strava app, but I tried Strava and didn't like it. So I just have both the AmazFit app AND my Google Fit app on the phone and use them for different types of tracking. It's working just fine. I would recommend you buy a screen protector for it - they sell some on amazon. The "face" that I use with my Pace shows everything I need - time, day, date, temperature, charge, steps, calories burned and total miles done since I got it. I'm very pleased - especially about the price. Well worth it. ... show more

  • Amazfit Pace
I received this watch this morning so this won't be a full comprehensive review. Just a few first impressions. The presentation and quality are great. Very well built and attractive style. I would have preferred the black with red strap but I guess that was not available so I ended up with the red with black. I spent a good four hours getting this thing connected and set up. Yes I am sixty years old but I did not have this problem with the Gear 3 Frontier or the Tic Watch S. They were very simple and setup took all of five minutes. Maybe it's because I am using iOS with this one and not connecting with my Android phone. I am on the fourth software update. I guess they have to load one at a time (?). Also I have to reconnect with Bluetooth every time I open the app which is going to make sleep tracking and cycle tracking tough. Anyway, after a full day of fussing with it, I think it will get up and running ... eventually . 4/5 stars for value and style 3/5 stars overall If you can afford to spend a little more, go for one of the "older" Samsung watches or the Tic Watch S or E. Update 09/30. I have had almost no problems using this watch with my iPhone 6s running iOS12. Yes it can be a little hard to read due to the LCD display but that's not anything that you can't get used to or just learn to accept. The biggest problem is that there are times that the watch is not able to connect to the Amazfit Watch app. If this happens, go to Setting > Bluetooth and "forget" the connection to the watch then reconnect. It's a "pita" but it works. Other than that I would highly recommend the Pace for anyone looking to get into the smart watch arena. 4/5 stars for value and style 4/5 stars overall ... show more

  • Short Lifespan - 3 months
I received the watch Dec 2018. I would have given a fair review in 1 year but it died after 3 months, March 4, 2019. After reading the reviews of others, I don't expect to get any resolution from their customer service. Don't be fooled by the low price of the watch compared to other more well known brand names. Functionality, ease of use, appearance, layout of screens, apps, keeping time, none of this matters if the watch only lasts 3 months. Very disappointed, won't be buying another. Save your money and move along on your search. ... show more

  • Beautiful but doesn't work
This was one of the biggest disappointments I have ever ordered and received. It is actually am amazingly beautifully finished item. I loved the feel of the watch both the metal body and the flexible sport strap. BUT all that evaporates when after more than 6 hours over 2 days of trying to get the watch to connect to my Android smartphone....it never happened !!!! I have several smartwatches that I enjoy for different features, and I have NEVER had any problem getting them to connect to my OnePlus 5T smartphone. This watch was a TOTAL DISASTER in that regard, and without that initial connection, the watch is TOTALLY USELESS! So, congratulations to those buyers who have gotten theirs to work, but clearly others here have had similar problems, so my REQUIRED RECOMMENDATION: Don't waste your time ordering this item. ... show more

  • Troubles linking to current Android phones
I bought one of these with a black band, and it synced immediately to my Nexus 5 phone. So, I bought a red band one for my wife, and it just will never connect with bluetooth long enough to sync. I thought perhaps I had gotten a bad one, so I returned it, and purchased another; same result. I have attempted to sync it on 3 different Google phones, all with the same results. It acts like it is going to sync, gives me the code, but then says it failed, and to start over. Finally I contacted their support desk and got an answer. Their inventory of watches have old firmware in them, and the only way to update them is to connect, and download the software. But if you cannot connect, there is no solution. They suggested I find someone else with an "older" version of Android or IOS, and sync to theirs, update, then go back and sync to mine. I dug around and finally came up with an old broken phone that still worked enough to do this. It worked, then I was able to connect, update, and switch to my current phone. No place on their website or documentation states this, and if you didn't have an old device around you are screwed. Great watch, bad method of support and communication. Let the buyer beware! ... show more
