I purchased the Amazer rod in chrome. It's well made right to the end pieces. No plastic here! Very attractive and has a nice clean look. It was very easy to install. Just twist the rod to the size you need. Should stand up well against rusting. Only time will be the judge of that. I also purchased the Amazer double hook shower rings. Spring is VERY stiff so hard for these old hands to compress to install. Looks good and has stayed up. Liked that end caps could come off - made it easy to hang curtain/liner which already had rings attached.

I purchased this curtain rod after seeing my roommate get the same one. I had originally purchased a curtain rod from Target for double the price which was much thinner, flimsier, not nearly strong enough to stretch 105" to the window in my apartment AND support curtains weighing almost 8 lbs in total. However once I installed this rod I was amazed by how much sturdier and budge resistant it was, as well as being able to hold up the weight of my curtains. Took a little longer to install because I was installing it about 12 feet up. Using this as a window curtain rod for a very high window. It works well and kept me from having to install anything. One minor issue: One side came with a small dent in it. The item was packaged very well, so probably not damaged in transit. Still giving it give stars because the dent is quite small, can't be seen while installed, and the system worked exactly as expected. It feels like it could reasonably hold a few pounds. Nothing more than that, but I have no concerns about it falling. If used as a shower curtain, it would hold the curtain and a towel or two with no issues. ... show more
