This assortment is a great value and very usable for various applications in the kitchen and home. The small black brushes are similar to what I have bought at the hardware store; I use those in the garage to be honest. The larger narrow brush is good for cleaning grout, and the small tools are good for cleaning intricate items like the bits inside our cat water fountain. That said, the large brushes are the main reason I was interested in this set. Having recently spent more than what this set costs on ONE Oxo brush, I wanted to compare. I preferred this to the Oxo brush in all areas but bristle rigidity. To Amazer's credit, the product is listed as having stiff bristles...and they are...moreso than the Oxo brush. If the bristles were a bit softer I'd really have zero complaints but the value here is so strong and they are upfront about the stiff bristles that I'm giving this 5 stars. Oh almost forgot: The sponge is better used for craft projects and utility use. Which is not a bad thing...it's good to have something you can grab and ruin without using more costly proper kitchen sponges. ... show more

I need good brushes for cleaning around the house, and especially for cleaning my cast iron pan. This set has brushes for both needs! They are sturdy and the bristles are nice and stiff for cleaning tough messes. I didn’t really care for the tiniest brushes or the sponge, but I may find some use for them eventually. ... show more

    • More brushes than I know what to do with
I ordered this primarily for the dish brushes, which I needed, but I was pleased to get the crevice brush too as I'm always getting crumbs between my stove and countertop. The dish brushes and crevice brush work great and are far more cost effective than what I've seen in my local store. The dish brushes have handles that are a bit longer than what I'm used to, and I like that as it helps me keep my glove-clad hands dry as I'm washing - it seems that little extra length keeps water from running down into the gloves. I'm not really sure what to do with the little brushes with the blue ends - I don't even know what those are for! But the other brushes work well and are good quality. ... show more

We haven't used them yet, but my husband, who worked in hospital kitchens for 15 years, liked the quality of this set. He thinks they will be sturdy and give us a variety of options to make cleaning easier. When I ordered them, they were $12.99 for the 8 piece set. That seems like a bargain when you consider you are getting 8 items in different size. It is definitely a good value. I like the fact they came in a box because I could wrap the box easily if I was giving this as a gift. I would definitely buy this again and give it as a gift. ... show more

This is a perfect set of dish brushes with plenty of sizes and shapes to go around! Gets into the bottom of glasses, thermoses and more. GREAT all around set for multipurpose cleaning. AND great deal for the price!! Many we have grabbed in the past were this price for only ONE brush! I replace my dish brushes close to every three months, and depending on where you get them, just one can run close to $13. This set gives you 8 kitchen brushes and sponges for the same price. The bristles are good and stiff, and they're easy to clean. The only part of the set I'm not thrilled with are the sponges. That's mostly because I'm not a sponge girl. Still they don't seem to be all of that good quality. But I can overlook that considering how good the brushes are. ... show more
