I bought 2 sets hoping to create 2 long shelves on each side of my computer desk. Minus having to check my math several times, and the walls not being exactly flat, I think they came out pretty well. I now have shelves for pictures and other tchotchkes I want to put up around my computer desk. To save you time, here are the measurements that were not directly listed in the instruction packet. 1. The center point of the holes for the crossbar is 7.5" from both sides of the edges, and 3/4" down from the top of the shelf. 2. The brace is 6" in from the left side of the shelf. Use a level to help level the brace, and note that there are only 6 screws for 8 potential holes...especially if you don't hit a stud. I suggest using the diagonal pattern for all 6 screws and checking the leveling multiple times...doing one shelf at a time when putting them side by side...just in case. Otherwise... they work out just fine, and I would buy them again if the need arose. ... show more
