*Edit* After using the sticks the bottom will kick out if the stick sags down the tree much at all. I took a drill bit that barely fit in the Versa Button hole and drilled out new holes exactly 2" down. I still think they are a good stick and am buying another set so I can carry six with me. These steps are great. Very solid construction. You have to assemble one of the sticks. So while you are putting that one together, go through and tighten all the stand-off screws and step screws really tight on the other three sticks. Using an aider trick that goes around the right boot, then hooks on the button or top step, I can easily get four feet between sticks. Or, you can use a single aider on just the bottom step and still get high enough up the tree. I stacked the sticks on top of each other, and they are right at six feet tall. So even 18" between sticks, with an 18" aider on bottom will get you 15' in the air. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The sticks are of good quality material. They pack up very compact and make no noise when moving. I tried to use the daisy loop straps that came with the sticks without success. The sticks would kick out on the bottom making me uncomfortable. I alleviated the kick out problem by purchasing 4 can straps and moving the top versa button down 3 additional inches from the original location. The sticks are now rock solid when strapped on the tree. The modification takes about 5 minutes per stick. I would not use these sticks with just one strap unless you modify them or use a strap on the bottom and top. I do recommend them at the black Friday price. Poor quality. On second hunt with them I had 2 break at the v bracket that grabs the tree. I only weight #150. Thankfully I was attached with my lineman’s belt. They did pack nice and liked the compact design. Bought them because of price and wanted a smaller stick. Will stay with my lone wolf sticks for now. Do not recommend. ... show more

The sticks are lightweight and compact but since the anchor fir the strap is so high on the stick, it only holds pressure on the top anchor point and the bottom pops off. Unless you wanna strap the bottom half as well ( which you shouldn't have to do) you better off going with hawk helium sticks.

This three pack is such a deal! They are more or less the equivalent of name brand sticks of similar construction. These actually feel more sturdy, stow better, and have a fold up feature for the steps that my friend's sticks don't have and he paid a lot more. These come ready to go out of the box, but they take a coat of camoe paint well without prep work if you do it new. Tip: don't unscrew the cups, they just pull apart, they're supposed to stay on.
