The steps don't feel sturdy but they are. The steps bend a little so I looked to see if it was dangerous. I think it's ok, but it doesn't feel that way. Also, the steps are close together horizontally so it feels a little awkward stepping up.

if this is rated for 800lbs, then my scale must be WAAAYYY out of calibration!! i stood on the upper step to get something, and the main support/hinge bar bent like 2inches. now every time i close it the shelf pops off the hinge bar. now to be fair, since the initial bend happened it seems to hold me just fine, but it shouldnt have bent in the first place. ... show more

I had a wooden step stool that lived in the kitchen but it almost killed me a couple of times…either tripping over it or it tipping while standing on it. This step ladder is so sturdy and really light weight. I didn’t want to have to lug something around the kitchen but this doesn’t feel that way at all. It folds and unfolds very easily.
