  • Very capable everyday glove!
Size: X-Large Color: Black/Fluorecent Yellow
I loved my leather Alpinestars everyday basic gloves, but after 20 years (!) and no serious incidents they just looked beaten up. They were perfectly adjusted to my hands. Shall miss them. So I got these. Heavens, they were super tight at first even though I ordered the right size according to their recommendation. But I somewhat remembered that my previous gloves were also stuff and tight at first, and needed some time to fit me "like a glove". I got these a week ago, and indeed they are much more comfy now and I am confident they'll soon become just as comfy as my old ones. Alpinestars know what they are doing. Clearly these are everyday, practical gloves - they are not racing or trackday gloves. For that everyday purpose, they seem to provide great protection in likely impact areas. Naturally I hope I never have o find out just how effective the protection is... :-) I have used them in 40F weather over the last few days, and they do provide quite decent insulation. In a nutshell: these adjust to your hands, becoming comfy in everyday urban riding, the tailored fit makes them effective in protection (I assume) and they are priced right. ... show more

  • Great gloves. These will be my go to for summer and mild cold.
Size: Medium Color: Black
Context: I live in California and the weather is very mild almost all year. Sizing & Fit: My hand size measured right at 21cm when flexed. This is right in the middle for medium. I have fairly slim hands and quite feminine fingers according to my friends (To my dismay). The medium fits great. The fingers have a tiny bit of room left in the tips after a few months of riding. At first they fit tight and nice but required some stretching to get to the comfy riding posture. Temperature: I have really cold hands so these are not good for me when things get below 55F = 12C. Anything above 55F I can wear these all day. Highway speed at 70mph in a 55F day my fingers hurt and best not wear them. Around town 55mph in a 55F day I perfectly comfortable. Crash: I have not fallen in these, nor have slide with them. I want to keep it that way. ... show more

  • Fits better than expected
Size: X-Large Color: Black
They started out pretty tight but have started breaking in really nicely. They work better with touch screens than any other glove I've tried

  • Good, but not great, lightweight, almost comfortable
Size: Large Color: Black/Fluorecent Yellow
These do works with touchscreens, but as with many touchscreen gloves, they're a bit hit-or-miss. You'll find yourself touching small icons carefully, or repeatedly, or cursing and hitting the back button, but at least you won't have to take off your gloves, which is freaking GREAT. I wear a size L, and these fit true to size. They flow air really well and are generally very comfortable to use in warm weather. The seams aren't so great though. I get marks from the seams along the first finger of each hand every time I ride with these gloves. I don't notice them too much when I'm riding, but when I pull the gloves off it looks like I've undergone recent cybernetic surgical implants on my fingers, when in fact I'm still on the wait-list for my finger lasers. Other minor gripe: the Velcro on the wrist closure seems to want to grab *everything* it possibly can. It's a secure closure to be sure, and I suppose an upside to this is that it's hard to lose these gloves, because they'll stick to your jacket cuffs, your pets, and anything else that's remotely fuzzy that they come in contact with. I like them, but I don't love them. They're good gloves and seem to provide reasonable protection, and they're also very lightweight. I've been riding with them frequently this season, but they're just not quite as comfortable as I'd expect. Maybe they'll be better by the end of the season, who knows. ... show more

  • Great gloves
Size: Large Color: Black
Awesome gloves, they fit well, look good, and feel nice. The carbon fiber looks really nice and the piece is really hard so its good for punching mirrors or if you ever crash.

  • Follow size guidelines - even if it seems wrong
Size: Large Color: Black
These gloves run small. We used the size guidelines and it said to order an X-large and that seemed really off. So we ordered the large. Should have followed the size guidelines. The large were too tight. Had to return and order X-large. Other than that, gloves are great!

  • Awesome gloves
Size: Medium Color: Black / White
Very comfortable, perfectly fit to my hand.

  • Good warm weather gloves
Size: X-Large Color: Black
The gloves are warm weather riding gloves. The perforations in the material on the top of the fingers do allow a pretty good amount of air to enter the gloves and cool down your hands on warm days, but not as much as full mesh gloves. The carbon fiber "knuckle" inserts look stylish and have held up over time. They also have protected my knuckles from small rocks kicked up off the road and bug strikes. If you are hit on the fingers you will certainly feel those things happening while riding. After approximately 2 years of owning these I started to notice the material on the fingers and thumb appears to be unraveling. This concerns me a bit on the chance I were to go down wearing them as to how well those areas would handle the heat of a slide. The bottom portions of the gloves have held up really well, allow for good contact grip on the bars and still don't show any signs of wear or tear. The gloves have also gotten more comfortable to wear over time. The velcro wrist "clasp" works well and keeps the gloves tight to your wrist (just need to make sure it's "seated" and has a good hold). If you attempt to fasten the wrist strap to quickly it has a tendency to "pop off." I have noticed that the contact portion for the velcro is also starting to show it's age, but they still work and hold the "clasp" securely. The touch screen feature on these gloves is a bit hit or miss. Sometimes it works on the first try, other times it doesn't and I find myself continually pushing on my phone for it to activate the desired function before giving up and having to take the glove off. So don't expect to seamlessly use all your electronic touch devices while wearing these gloves. ... show more
