Had a low speed low-side slide in a corner the glove actually got a hole burned through it on the textile material at the palm heal area, where the leather ends and the textile material starts. My hand underneath it is missing about a nickle size piece of skin. :-( The gloves seem to made with quality leather and stitching but the design needs to be tweaked either adding leather all the way down, or add scuff protection to the heal of the glove thumb side and also palm heal side for me to ever buy or recommend. Hello ApineStars are you listening, why would you sell such a glove when you know how to make highly protective track gloves and know asphalt will eat through the palm heal area and textile is more or less useless, at a minimum take the leather all the way down. Bought in April, started using in June, within the month of June palm area started separating from wrist section, how is this supposed to save your hands from a slide if within a month of use it separates?

The finish is great and the construction cant be beat. Goat skin on the palm with reinforced areas with extra fabric and of course the carborn fiber knuckle, which not only is it a head turner, its light and will protect you if you go down. As others have discussed the fit is on the smaller side so you might want to size up. I wear large on gloves so i order a large mine fit perfectly. Touch screen is nice too. To start off, very airy; they are not meant for cold or even cool weather riding (I don't have the greatest circulation either, so that's a factor also), there is a lot of air flow to the hand with these. I think this is the same with all riding gloves, I have small hands and larges fit me very well, but the stitching on the inside of the glove, as well as the sides of the wrist, does irritate the skin a bit. Great gloves but I have found that Alpinestar gloves tend to run very small for me. If I go to Home Depot for Garden gloves a large fits fine. My two sets of Alpinestar gloves are both 2XL. I would go up at least one size maybe two. Beyond the sizing issues they are everything you could want in a sport oriented motorcycle glove. I started with a gauntlet style but those don’t work very well with my ADV jacket. I think unless you have a tight cuff race suit or jacket you will be better off with this style without the gauntlet. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The glove needs to be broken in so wear it as much as you can even though it feels tight initially. I almost returned mine thinking I got it to small but was told I needed to break it in. It broke In and I love these gloves. Look cool and work good but the touchscreen functionality kinda sucks. I don't have another motorcycle touch screen glove to compare it to so maybe this is normal but it definitely takes a few tried to get it. I will buy another pair of these maybe thicker ones for the winter time since these are more made to breathe in summer. ... show more

These do works with touchscreens, but as with many touchscreen gloves, they're a bit hit-or-miss. You'll find yourself touching small icons carefully, or repeatedly, or cursing and hitting the back button, but at least you won't have to take off your gloves, which is freaking GREAT. I wear a size L, and these fit true to size. They flow air really well and are generally very comfortable to use in warm weather. The seams aren't so great though. I get marks from the seams along the first finger of each hand every time I ride with these gloves. I don't notice them too much when I'm riding, but when I pull the gloves off it looks like I've undergone recent cybernetic surgical implants on my fingers, when in fact I'm still on the wait-list for my finger lasers. Other minor gripe: the Velcro on the wrist closure seems to want to grab *everything* it possibly can. It's a secure closure to be sure, and I suppose an upside to this is that it's hard to lose these gloves, because they'll stick to your jacket cuffs, your pets, and anything else that's remotely fuzzy that they come in contact with. I like them, but I don't love them. They're good gloves and seem to provide reasonable protection, and they're also very lightweight. I've been riding with them frequently this season, but they're just not quite as comfortable as I'd expect. Maybe they'll be better by the end of the season, who knows. ... show more

These are my 3rd pair of Alpinestars Gloves. I didnt have a problem wit sizing since both my other pair are XXL. These gloves are mostly leather so the fit was snug for a couple days. I didnt wet them just wore them around the house and drove with them on to and from work a couple days. Body heat stretched them out perfectly. Make a fist often to simulate holding ur grips and move ur thumb around for controls. Good Quality my best pair yet. ... show more
