I'll start off by saying; order a size up from standard. These do run a bit small. That being said, I LOVE my Alpha jacket. Excellent ventilation for warm rides, great visibility and reflective surfaces, included CE1 armor for protection where you expect it (do consider upgrading your armor. This is a great jacket and provides plenty of breathability on a warmer day! Luckily I have not had to find out how well it protects me but it feels good and I get a lot of compliments on it!     • Handles the Texas Heat
Picked up this jacket to provide protection against the sun and it handles it pretty well. Texas temperatures have been around 100-103 degrees but I’m comfortable in the jacket. It has good ventilation so when I’m riding, it’s fairly cool. I would purchase this again.

I bought this for my new bike - first time riding in 300 years! I'm kidding 😂 about the 300 years. Anyhow I am always skeptical about anything I buy online but this jacket is ok. Able to adjust for perfect fit. Has good pockets. Won't keep you warm on cold nights but it's good quality. Wind resistance is good as it's a mesh so great for riding in the heat - yesterday it was 102, for instance. Not overly thick and easy to ride it. The added and most important bonus? The plates inside for protection. On cold nights? I wear my leather jacket over it, adding more protection. Glad I bought it. ... show more

I did a 90 mile trip the day after receiving this jacket. I'm thinking it got up to 95 but started out around 85. It was tough putting on any type of jacket at that temperature. The very moment I started riding I was extremely pleased at how cool it got. It kept the brutal sun off while keeping me cool. The Velcro cuffs keeps the sleeves where they need to be. I'm only 5'10" and I have a long torsel, with a belly and it didn't ride up. I might've been able to get away with with a 3X but wanted to go with a bigger size just to be safe. The padding seemed to fit in the right places. Some things I'm going to have to get use, like not lining up the zipper properly and getting it hung up. Again, mostly user error. Have worn this jacket on 85 degree days and it’s very breathable ! Only reason for the 4 star is because the Velcro cuffs aren’t that great
