  • Good quality, as nice as pricey Shaw branded vinyl tile.
Color: Gingermisu Maple Size: 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Configuration: CASE
This is a good value for a very nice, high quality luxury vinyl plank flooring that I would rate as as good a quality and similar to pricier branded flooring such as Shaw flooring. However, the color wasn’t (in the Gingermasu Maple) wasn’t as vibrant and rich as expected, it was a bit muted, but still lovely. Note that this is a not glue down or together, or peel and stick style, it’s installed in a click and lock installation. You align the side groove of the piece you are installing and place it, sliding it into the groove of the piece next to it that’s already installed. It’s easier to do if you tilt the piece you are installing upward at an angle vs trying to do it flat. If you’ve ever installed this style of floor, this one is typical for that style in how it installs. If you’ve never installed this style of flooring, I’d suggest looking up some instructional YouTube videos. It’s easy to do once you get the hang of it. Comparing this to my pricey Shaw luxury vinyl tile (that looks like fancy stonework and was a lot pricier than this), I would say this one has a thicker, sturdier feel to it. It’s both a bit thicker (and the Shaw tile I have is quite thick) with more padding under it and has less give to it. It’s more rigid vs the slight give the Shaw vinyl tile has (at least in the variations I’ve used). The quality of the flooring finish and the underlayment is at least as good as the Shaw flooring I’ve used, if not a little better. It’s rated as 12 mil for the wear layer, 2 mm for the vinyl inner layer. They also say it has a sound dampening layer, and I think it does as it is quieter than some flooring when walked on. You will need to get a flooring edge wedge kit (not included) with spacers (for the edges or the room or area) made for vinyl tile or laminate flooring. If you don’t have a kit like that, be sure to leave the proper edge room for expansion as directed in the listing instructions. You may need to buy trim and transition pieces for doorways and when connecting it to other rooms or flooring. I’m not sure if they make a matching piece for this flooring as they do in some flooring styles and patterns, you may have to get a painted or metal tone coordinating edge piece if needed. If you have to make cuts on the tile, you’ll need a saw for it (tape both sides before cutting to minimize chipping when you cut). This is fairly tough to cut, much like how laminate is hard to cut. Note that it is a style that you will be able to easily vacuum, dust mop or wet mop. However, this and all vinyl tile (vs glue down vinyl sheet flooring) isn’t compatible with an electric hot steam mop. So while you can vacuum it and wet mop it, you can’t steam mop it, the heat will damage it. They do rate it as safe for kitchens and bathrooms, and not all luxury vinyl tile is, but this version is okay to put in a kitchen or bathroom. Note that if you’re used to natural flooring or a very natural look with laminate (vs vinyl) flooring, this is not going to have (in this style variation, it may in others) as natural of a look or as rich a finish. In the Gingermisu Maple pattern it’s not as vibrant of a tone and finish or as natural as it looks in the pictures. It’s hard to explain, but it’s a very muted finish that’s very matte vs satin. It almost looks like whitewashed finish, pickled finish, or floor with a heavy coat of satin wax on it. It looks like a natural finish that’s had something put over it to mute the tone. It’s not actually coated like that, it just has a very, very muted, matte finish vs a polished, rich natural wood tone. If you were expecting it to look like a highly polished natural finish, this is going to be different and quite muted. The finish is not a smooth, slick feel like you often get with laminate flooring and some vinyl plank flooring. I would call it slightly textured and you can feel the embossed grained texture to the touch and underfoot. It’s not going to be so deep of a texture that it traps dust and dirt, but it makes the floor less slippery. It’s even less slippery than my Shaw faux stone flooring vinyl tile. Be sure and measure your room area and give a bit for overage, I do 10-20% overage from my room square footage, depending on if I need extra to make cuts (for complex areas) and that way I have some saved for any future issues or repairs. Each case (in this variation) has 7 pieces. You install it in a horizontal across the room fashion. You can decide which direction you want to do this in, but install it horizontally in the direction you choose. Each piece is 47.6 inches across (horizontally) and 8.7 inches long (front to back) in a plank. The case has 20.6 square feet. So multiply the length and width of your room for total square footage and 10-20% to it to be sure you have some extra. If your square footage is between the number of cases, order an extra case vs having less. I always inspect every piece before I install and try to mix up cases so that any natural color variation blends. They tell you to do this, pick pieces from different cases so that it blends better. It’s rated as having scratch protection, much as my Shaw flooring does. I would say it does based on the look and feel. This type of flooring from my experience in other areas with my Shaw flooring in luxury vinyl tile is very tough to daily wear, including pets running around on it. It’s much tougher than sheet vinyl, peel and stick or laminate flooring. They say the top and underside layers are treated with a stain and odor inhibitor. I did note that there was no odor at all to it. Depending on where you’re installing it, you may or may not need your own separate underlayment sheet for it. I have installed this and other similar luxury vinyl plank flooring both with and without extra underlayment and both worked well. They say in the listing you don’t need additional underlayment, and with the thicker backing on this you likely won’t need it. But if you need a surface to even out the floor under it, you may need to do this, but likely won’t have to. ... show more

  • Very nice!
Color: Gingermisu Maple Size: 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Configuration: CASE
I recently installed the Allure 9" x 48" x 7mm Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring in the Gingermisu Maple Look, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! The 12mil thickness provides a solid, durable feel underfoot, while the embossed texture gives the planks a realistic wood look and adds a nice touch of sophistication to the space. The Gingermisu Maple color is warm and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere that blends well with any room décor. The waterproof feature is a huge bonus, making it ideal for areas that are prone to moisture, such as kitchens or bathrooms. The planks are incredibly easy to install, and the interlocking system makes for a smooth and seamless application. The 7 planks in each box cover a generous 20.06 sqft, making it great for medium-sized spaces. Overall, I highly recommend this flooring to anyone looking for an affordable, durable, and stylish option. It’s perfect for adding a touch of elegance while ensuring long-lasting performance. ... show more

  • Packaging needs improvement, but durable flooring.
Color: Gingermisu Maple Size: 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Configuration: CASE
I too received the box which looked fine until I opened it and the edges of the planks were a bit beaten. However, upon further inspection, the flooring looks just like another set of flooring I purchased from the home improvement store nearby. All measurements of the box I received were accurate as described👍. Finally, even though the edges of the planks had been damaged in delivery, they did fit snuggly together front to back and side to side🎉 when I installed them in my upstairs full bath. It's a small full bath lol but it's mine🤣 the single box was enough to do the whole bathroom. I would recommend this product after it successfully waterproofed my bathroom floor, for small laundry rooms, bathrooms, galley kitchens, or basements. ... show more

The Allure 9" x 48" x 7mm Plank Flooring is a Professional Grade Product that goes down nicely, the Flooring is a Full 7mm Thick that really adds the look & feel of real Hardwood Flooring. • Would be good if not totally damaged
Color: Burnt Butter Walnut Size: 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Configuration: CASE
This product is a little on the high end of price, but has a lot of quality features, like being waterproof and having a nice warranty. Unfortunately all the planks arrived with damage on the end as well as on one side where the groove/tongue is cracked. We will make it work but I wanted to get a couple more boxes to do the entryway and I don't want to risk it arriving damaged. If I have to cut parts off because of damage - it's even more expensive! The color is good and the instructions are helpful. EDIT - I went and looked at some other flooring options and now see that the tongue/groove breakage on these is worth losing another star. This product is expensive and the tongue/grove being cracked and smashed is weird. Other options I looked at were more durable and couldn't have broken if I hit it with something. ... show more

Color: Gingermisu Maple Size: 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Configuration: CASE
I was taken by surprise after this flooring arrived. All I can say is wow, I need to order more of this to cover my entire kitchen now. This is heavy and thick and the pattern is wonderful. This flooring is not your average cheap stuff and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Highly recommend this because you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Decent Vinyl Plank
Color: Gingermisu Maple Size: 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Configuration: CASE
This LVP is decent quality and easy to install. The thickness of the underlay provides a nice amount of cushion. Unfortunately my husband wasn’t a fan of the color so we won’t be purchasing more or using this particular plank for our project.
