  • Important information. Read before buying!
Size: 64 GB
Update: While i still like the tablet I discovered a hugely important issue for buyers in the USA. Warranty. There is none. I repeat there is no warranty. Yes you have 30 days from Amazon in which to return the tablet. But Alldocube provides absolutely no warranty. None. Zero. Nada. Here is my chat with Facebook chat with an Alldocube representative: Me: "What is the duration of the warranty on my tablet?" Alldocube: "The warranty duration can vary depending on the platform where the tablet was purchased, as each store or dealer may have their own policies. Since the store is managed by a third-party dealer, I recommend contacting their customer service directly for specific details about your warranty." Alldocube "Based on your description, it seems like the issue may be related to the screen itself. I would suggest considering repair options." Me: "If there is no warranty then a repair would probably cost me more that the tablet did! And it appears that you are telling me that Alldocube does not provide any warranty for their products sold by Amazon in the USA." Alldocube: "This means that warranty support is provided through the seller, not directly by Alldocube. If you’re experiencing issues, you should contact the dealer or platform’s customer service for assistance." Uh so there you have it. The Alldocube tablet is kind of an orphan. At least in the sense that they do not stand behind the product. So no warranty. Nada. They do not even offer the option to pay them to have it repaired. Their response was "go find someone to fix your tablet" I don't know but I suspect it also means that an Alldocube tablet with Android 13 will never get upgraded to Android 14 or 15. There is no after sale service. Keep this in mind before buying the tablet Your best solution is a) find another brand that does stand behind their product or b) purchase the extended service contract offered by Amazon. Which will increase the price of the table proportionally. You may want to consider that price increase in your decision. The tablet may or may not be much of a "deal" if you have to buy your own warranty. Or you can always just roll the dice and see if you win. Keep your fingers crossed that the tablet is not a 90 day disposable. And here is my review of the tablet BEFORE I learned there is no warranty. Plus: Nice screen, relatively fast once it boots up, decent battery life. Sound is ok. Some users have complained about the power cord entering at the top of the device rather than the side or bottom. For me that was a non-issue. I like the screen size, weight/thickness of the tablet etc. It has a headphone jack! Wow, that's almost unheard of these days. And a microSD card slot. Not just a microSD card slot. It also has room for sim card. I primarily use it as a book reader along side a KOBO. But I have used it on cross country flights to watch videos with ear buds. FWIW my KOBO is a probably a better e-reader than the ALLDOCUBE. The ALLDOCUBE is a much better tablet than the KOBO and works quite well as an e-reader. Cons: This is rather petty but the edges of the tablet are just a little sharp - that is they are not rounded. Certainly not sharp enough to cut you or anything like that. But just know that the tablet does not have rounded edges. So it might be a bit uncomfortable to hand hold. Mine is now in a case so the edges are not an issue. ... show more

  • Very good tablet best one I had in a long time
Size: 64 GB
I was just looking for a smaller size tablet nothing too big or fancy that's why I got this one and man I have been blown away by what it can do. I have had it now for maybe 2 weeks and the color on it is incredible the battery life is great and it has plenty of space for all of my apps and then some. It was a great price and I am very very happy with it it Bluetooth very well with all of my Bluetooth speakers. I even got a rubber case to keep it in. If you are looking for a smaller size tablet I do recommend this one 😀👍🏾 ... show more

  • Very decent tablet for the price
Size: 64 GB
This review is for the ALLDOCUBE iPlay50 mini 8.4 inch Tablet (ASIN: B0CBK85CBS) which I purchased in Feb 2024 for ~$80. I see that there is a newer model and I would think that this model will get discounted sometime in the future. In reading the reviews, I saw several that indicated this tab may have a plastic screen. I don't think so. There is a protective plastic sheet over the screen that should be removed. It's hard to see unless you look right around the little camera on the front of the tab. You will be able to see a tiny U-shaped cutout in the plastic sheet that leaves the camera with a clear view. I left the plastic sheet on for a good while to act as a kind of screen protector but it scratches easily and shows fingerprints clearly. With the protective sheet removed the screen looks even better and it sure feels like glass. Hopefully this will be helpful. Solid build. Feels good in my hand. Plenty fast which has been an issue in the past with the lower priced tablets I have had. Very responsive. Nice touch screen which not only looks fantastic but reacts nicely to touch. Sufficient internal storage but not generous. However, adding a 512 GB microSD card solved that issue. The camera is adequate but if you are used to the quality from a high end cell phone, this won't keep up. The camera is fine for video calls and pictures to document something. I often take things apart and the camera is perfect for taking pics to remind me how to put things back together. Video streaming is very nice with a resolution and frame rate that looks really good. No issues with streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTubeTV or Disney+. Wifi network interface supports 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz and I typically get speeds of at least 433 Mbps. Battery life is pretty good. Fully charged the battery lasts me a couple of days of modest use. USB interface supports OTG and is at least USB 3.0 as transfer speeds are fast. The size and form factor is perfect for me. Not so big I don't wanna use it for an Ebook reader while laying in bed as the larger 10" models are. I have not tried the cell function so I have nothing to report on that feature. Now the things that could be better. The Bluetooth takes forever to come back on after the tablet goes to sleep...like nearly a minute before the mouse will reconnect. It's not the mouse either. I tried four different brands and got the same behavior. Minor frustration but still an issue for me. Another issue I've been having is Amber alerts. Despite turning off all emergency alerts including Amber alerts I still get them. Once again, minor nuisance. I contacted support regarding this and got no response so support isn't great. Finally, there have been no updates to the OS and frankly, I don't expect there ever will be. I have had numerous low priced tablets and there are never any updates. I haven't tried rooting this tablet since it is still under warranty and I'm not sure if it's even possible. Perhaps after the warranty has expired I'll look into it so I can take control of the OS myself but unless there was some compelling reason to do so (and there isn't at this moment) it's not likely. All in all, I feel like I got a lot of machine for not much money. One star deducted due to the issues listed, particularly the lack of response from support. If the price does drop on this model, I like it enough to consider purchasing another for the kids. In the meantime, it's a useful tool for a grown up like me and worth what I paid for it for sure! ... show more

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised that this would happen but, I got a bad unit. As soon as I inserted a micro SD card, the tablet started glitching out, the screen started to look like a CRT TV with a bad cable connection. Of course, the unit was not detecting the SD card at all either. Other than that, the speaker is horrible, sound was very tinny with 0 bass to it, there’s a pink tinge when displaying white backgrounds, it’s slow and battery life wasn’t all that great. Too bad the bigger brands don’t focus on 8” tablets anymore. If you’re in the market for a cheap android tablet, just keep looking elsewhere. Or better yet, just spend a little more and skip the headache and disappointment. ... show more
