These are great to give some extra protection for the blink outdoor cameras and also gives options for mounting them. I can attest these will protect a camera from around a 7-8 foot fall. They still allow easy access though for changing the batteries.

These cameras work. It is sometimes hard to connect to the transceiver on the app. I liked that you can delete videos easily on app. The night vision isn't that great and if you have a porch light on it will glare into the video. The sound and sound range is good. It can pick up people talking out on sidewalk from the house. The battery life is okay if you don't have it constantly recording and lower settings. It would be nice to have a plug in option for small solar panels. You have to use the correct batteries or it will not last long. I don't like the click noise when camera is activated. People close to camera can hear the noise. Overall the wireless cameras are much better to manage than wired ones you used to get. No running wires but have to replace batteries.     • Ugh 😳 my story is longer than the Blink cameras operated

Received July 27, 2021. Mounted both and set up app. Blink gives a 30 day free online service for saving video clips after that we can save to usb free of charge but royal pain to keep up with deleting the clips. Oddly enough One camera operated for 30 days before it would no longer connect to the system. Honestly it stopped working on Aug 26 and on Aug 29 I began my email campaign to get help with reconnecting it. I kept getting the same email from Blink explaining how to connect it to the system (which I already understood how to do). but it wouldn’t connect. They did eventually provide a tech support phone number but due to a family emergency I didn’t have chance to call them. By the time I got back home on October 14 or 15, 2021 the Lithium batteries in the working camera were dead. I can’t determine exactly when they died because I wasn’t home. Batteries are supposed to Last a year depending on the settings we use. I had the camera scheduled to come on after dark and go off with first light. I had to use the higher settings such as “clarity” for low light setting because We couldn’t see anything on the clips from nighttime. We even mounted motion sensor lights outside so when something set off the camera it would set off the light also and Vice versa. We’d hoped we would see more clearly. I set it for motion triggers only and turned off the sound feature to save the battery and compensate for the other setting that the app warned me would use more battery life. To sum up: I had it on an arm / disarm schedule I had the clip length set about 15 seconds I had the sound turned off I only had the low light settings set higher to see clip better and still the Lithium Batteries were dead within 73 days. Far short of 365 days? I don’t like math but even I can see how poorly that adds up. Find anything else. Ideally get a system that you hard wire and still connect to an app on your phone. This way you won’t worry about batteries failing and replacing at an expense. Go through the hassle of hard wire once and it’s done. I now have two surveillance cameras that don’t operate. They weren’t even three months old. What do I do? Do I continue to purchase the batteries by the case load or by the ton or do I just eat the $239? Just sayin. ... show more
