I was almost fooled by the self-adhesive drill templates that they included: I found that I could not separate the sticky paper from the waxy guard and imagined this meant a poorly designed system. In the end I used transparent tape to position them where I was going to drill. This worked fine; but it felt like a bad start. Once I had the holes drilled I found everything else to be nearly perfect. For example, I like that these have the potential to position cameras further from the wall than the ones provided by Amazon with their Blink 4 cameras. I love how the plastic shrowds completely shield the cameras from rain - unless it is blowing horizontally in toward the front of the camera. I love how the cameras are secured with a clever snap-in square retainer piece. I love how you can loosen the ball joint, point the camera without applying pressure to the mounting, and tighten it. And it stays. I will admit that when I was unpacking my second tranche of Blink cameras I felt like kicking myself for having forgotten that the cameras ship with their own mounting systems and spending more to mount them; but when I started working with these I quickly changed my mind. I bought this for my outdoor blink camera. It was easy to install and move to the correct angle. It's in our carport and it's low enough I can see to the road as well. It helped give a better view than just mounting the camera with the mount that came with it. There are probably a million different camera holders for Blink on Amazon, but I settled on this one. Purchased both a 2-pack and a 3-pack for my 5-cam outdoor setup. Here’s my reasoning: - unlike most other camera mounts, this one been designed with a consideration to where the wired connection on the back of the camera is located. Not sure if it’s entirely clear from the product pictures, but if you ever held an outdoor Blink cam you will notice that the micro-USB connector is off center, which this holder take into account. It has a little groove leading from the connector location down to the bottom, so if you want to hardwire your camera, you easily can. Others, for some reason, don’t accommodate for any extra cabling at all, or make a (wrong) assumption that a little space in the middle of the back cover is all that’s needed. - the bottom of the mount and the box of the mount itself are not made from that disgusting shiny plastic that peels and breaks from too much sunlight. It’s (I suspect) ABS, it’s slightly matte and looks very inconspicuous. Very much what I like. - getting the camera in and out is an easy 2-second affair, but the grooves and locks on the front frame holding the cam in place are so deep that there’s no chance that the camera will fall out, even if you shake it pretty hard (I shouldn’t have done that with the delicate electronics inside, but I did, and it’s a winner) - each set came with its own Blync Sync Module Holder, but without an USB drive. Been burned by other Sync holder suppliers (fake USB drives, fake capacity etc.), I prefer to put verifiably working USB drives that I personally selected instead of most of the other garbage out there. Since I needed two holders for two zones, I went with a 2+3 purchase instead of a 5-pack, which, net-net was cheaper than buying the holders separately. - Sync holder is very tight and sturdy. No chance of anything falling off or the power brick getting loose (again, unlike what I observed with some others). The power brick space matches the original brick’s size *precisely* Solid product, so highly recommended. I went through 3 different ones before settling on this one and it’s a keeper. ... show more

Thanks to Blink, I now know who is dropping huge turds in my backyard! Buck scat is massive compared to a doe’s pellet. I’ll not post the live action video as proof. Mystery solved. I’d like to thank my daughter and son-in law for taking the time to set up the system. They made it seem easy. I really enjoy viewing the wildlife passing through. The plumber tried to tack on another hour towards my bill, but I have proof of his time on camera. Certainly am feeling more secure living on my own now. These are crazy times. Really needed to step up my game a few notches with Blink. It was affordable too. Amazing sound quality. I can hear the birds singing. I haven’t noticed a substantial notification delay.
