    • A little darker than my skin tone but I can make it work
First off, this set is wonderful for someone like me who’s not done their makeup in several years. The foundation is just a shade darker than my skin and unfortunately there’s no options on them but I think I can make it work just fine with a little powder too. I have the lightest skin tone, I believe it’s porcelain or it was the last time I got matched, but it’s not really a noticeable difference except to me. I LOVE the mascara that comes in it, not only is it a pretty tube but the application goes on really smooth and makes my eyelashes look great. The chapstick has worked wonders for my dry lips and the lip tints are a wonderful neutral color. There’s a bunch of shades of eyeshadow and they have been really fun swatching and I can’t wait to start wearing them with some of my nicer outfits. I also really enjoy the brush set that comes in it and I appreciate that they were in their own little package and a couple had the mesh covers so the bristles didn’t get ruined in transit. It also comes with a lovely makeup case that holds everything with a little room to spare. I’m going to buy this again to gift to my sister and SIL because they both love makeup and the colors in this will be something they love and can use often. I couldn’t decide between 3 or 4 stars, due to some presentation issues, but ultimately decided on 4 stars, because I do like the makeup, and there is ample quantities of full-size makeup. The presentation issues were these… The makeup bag has the sku sticker directly on the makeup bag. It does not remove cleanly, so you have to apply alcohol to get off the sticky gum it leaves behind. Two of the eye shadows had broken. This left eye makeup easily visible as soon as I opened the box. It was all inside the box, on the makeup pallet (outside) and crushed into powder, spread around the inside of the pallet. Most of this I was able to clean up with a wet rag. The above mentioned eye shadow left eyeshadow powder on the inside of the makeup bag, meaning I had to clean that out too, in addition to my floor - and I am thankful I didn’t open it on my bed. All the makeup pieces came in individual boxes. For some reason, the boxes were harder to open than normal, leading to a bit of frustration just trying to get TO the makeup. It was a process I usually enjoy, but the packaging was frustrating, making me glad when it was over - and I’m glad it was not a gift, as it made a big mess due to the busted eye shadow pallet. As for the makeup…the foundation was lighter than expected, but somehow looks okay on my skin. The eye shadow pallets are highly pigmented, though not as pretty, or as noticeable, by the end of the work day. The lipsticks are really pretty, and I love the color choices. The bronzer/highlighter combo is easy to use and easy to blend. The eyeliner goes on easily and smoothly, and the mascara is okay (but I am picky about mascaras). All in all, the makeup earned a good 4 stars…I’d just encourage the vendor to rethink how it is presented for the customer’s enjoyment. ... show more

Horrible. You get what you pay for. Brushes dont even pick anything up??? Foundation is just slightly tinted lotion?? Eyeliner is like a marker? Lipstick can get very messed up easily!

This kit I’m so satisfied with! This kit legit came with everything a girl or woman needs for a perfect and flawless look from highlighter to foundation to eyeshadows and more! Perfect gift or just to treat yourself. The smell and look from the foundation is amazing and using the sponges for a lightweight if not invisible look is great!
