I live in Minnesota and usually manage to get away with wearing knit gloves much of the winter, but if you're going to be out in the snow for hours or you get cold hands, these gloves were a pleasant surprise. The thing that stands out the most is they are truly waterproof. My kids have plenty of gloves that say they are waterproof, but they come inside after hours of playing in the snow and their gloves are soaked straight through. I started to think that waterproof gloves were a myth. These gloves DO NOT soak through. They have been put to the serious test and I've now used them for hours on a backyard igloo project. I have worn them in temps as low as the teens and handle large ice blocks, snow and slush the entire time with absolutely no problems of even feeling the slightest bit of cold or dampness through them. The "mortar" I use to stick my ice blocks together is a mix of water and snow and I apply it by hand wearing these gloves and they have never soaked through and my hands have never felt any cold. I've even submerged the fingers of them in pure water while filling trays with water for the igloo project and still nothing soaks through. My only complaint is that I think there is a hole in the inner liner as when I slide my hand in a certain way, it feels like it's going into a hole. I just reposition and try again and it's fine. Considering they are still doing their job, I really can't complain about the liner flaw too much. ... show more
