I have very problematic, acne prone skin that requires high coverage, non comedogenic, and preferentially clean/non-toxic makeup. I’ve searched high and low for a good powder after my pressed powder brand added a comedogenic ingredient. I was skeptical to try loose powder because of the anticipated messy packaging, however this product is amazing for my skin! It has beautiful, matte coverage that’s light and non cakey. It actually covers my blemishes (paired with liquid foundation and concealer) and gives the perfect balance of matteness and glow. I was really struggling earlier this year to find a clean foundation that wouldn't breakout my face and also didn't have any of my allergens in it. I was so happy when I found this foundation, with so few ingredients but so many color options. It covers very well (I always put my moisturizer or a primer on first) and blends in for a natural look. It stays on pretty well, but sometimes does need re-applied/touched up mid-day. I have super sensitive skin - eczema (dehydrated)/combination skin) and I get cystic acne (which has been improving but still happens more often than I would like). I've been slowly transitioning over to more natural products since my body is becoming more sensitive to things. I was skeptical about getting a powder that is a foundation, but I decided to give it a shot. I like how there are so many options to match your skin tone (because that will make or break how well it covers/looks.) I also loved the description for each production. I thankfully got the perfect shade when I ordered on the first try. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually covered my acne scars/redness (from the cystic acne - which is so hard to do) - better than my concealer. So, I don't need a concealer anymore! I tried different methods of applying and the quantity of which. I find I don't really like putting it completely over my entire face. It looks nice at a normal distance but up close you can totally see the makeup. I found that I like to apply it more as a concealer than a foundation. For those that do not wish to use it as I do, you can build up the coverage. It is fairly easy to do. I would think too many layers might give a cakey look but it does cover nicely to begin with, so maybe 2 layers if you need a medium/full coverage. Again, every face is different so experiment. I use a setting powder but you may or may not need to. I tend to have combo skin so my forehead can get oily. You'll have to experiment. One month in and no bad reactions so far. (I usually need at least 3 months before I can get a reaction so time will tell on that but I don't foresee it happening.) I don't think it clogs my pores (at least not yet) although I'm not caking it all over my face either. Overall, it works well. ... show more

I've been using this Alima Pure loose powder foundation for many years, after being disappointed with every other mineral based powder foundation I tried. This is perfect coverage without being too heavy, lasts all day, and never settles into fine lines or wrinkles. I never use another SPF on my face when using this, and I never get burned as long as this is on.
