This keyboard is amazing! Love it to death. Prior to this purchase I had a rather nice and expensive Razer mechanical keyboard. Don't get me wrong - Razer makes AWESOME products and all that but for my tastes A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD (NOT THIS KEYBOARD) IS TOO LOUD. FAR TOO LOUD. I type extremely fast and the clack clack clack of a mechanical keyboard sounds like tossing a ball bearing into a paper shredding. Don't ask me how I know. THIS keyboard has a shorter key stroke, quietly operating key engagement, on-keyboard volume control with mute, well lit keys and the standard layout that I, as a gamer, have come to expect. BUY THIS KEYBOARD NOW!!!! OMG I love this thing and I'm not being paid or endorsed by anyone to leave this review. Seriously, I can type at 100+ wpm and still actually hear the video that I'm watching. LOVE IT. Soooo smooth and looks amazing to boot. The only downside to it is that it does not come with a padded wrist rest which I come to expect with a keyboard of this price but I already have one and I'm using it now. This does not take away from the rating of the keyboard itself, nor do I feel that it detracts from the value of this keyboard for the money. If you do not possess very good control of your typing (mainly in the form of intentional key strokes) then you will likely find this keyboard too sensitive. Both the most expensive keyboard I've had, but also does work the best. Lightly pressed keystrokes are silent or close to it. Spirited typing is a bit loud. Some people enjoy the loudness during fast typing and I am one of them. I did notice and I do like that the keystrokes are recorded before the keys bottom out. Even though the keystrokes have a long travel, the keys don't need to bottom out to function. After several months of vigorously gaming with it I haven't broken any keycaps as I have with other Alienware keyboards. Lightning is vibrant and all features work as advertised. I got this keyboard (white version) on prime day so I got it for 20ish percent off and figured I’d give it a shot. And this is hands down the best keyboard I’ve owned from its feel, sound and look. This keyboard is very cool. The keys are responsive and not too loud. These are the optical red keys. I do not like the loud clicky ones. The colors are great on here and highly customizable. The only downside is the software. The software would not load properly on a consistent basis. I had to find and install one of the older versions to get it to behave. While I'm sure it's just me not knowing the keyboard, I can't get the volume wheel to work right. It's either at 0% or 100% - nothing in between. Other than that I love the keyboard. Have it connected to an Anker 10P USB-A hub connected to my Alienware M15 on W11. responsive and nice to type on.
