Don't like the ALFELE Grabber Tool 2 Pack, 32" Foldable Reacher Grabber Pickup Tool. Prefer my Unger non fold grabbers. Folding is a nice idea, but somewhat awkward to fasten open or closed rod. Jaws not as wide as my Unger. Rotating head not as well designed as my Unger. If you don't need a foldable grabber, buy something else. Consider the Unger. ... show more

I am in a wheelchair and use my grabbers all day and night long! I like these because I can keep one tucked next to me in my chair. My only issue is to keep it unfolded it is a little difficult to lock in place.

The plastic feels a little on the cheap side for these clamps; but still a decent affordable 2-pack. Trigger action is solid with good tactile feel; and the magnetic tips on claw (while not very strong) are effective for lighter/smaller metal components. The rotatable claw head is not something I would have thought about as being necessary; but indeed it is useful to grab some items along the horizontal axis while others along the vertical axis. This set of grabbers is handy to have for those healing from injuries or surgeries and for those with physical limitations. Having two grabbers is very convenient because you can place them in different rooms as needed. The grabbers are meant to be folded to save space, but there's no strap to keep the two sides together and not flopping around. The pieces work thanks to a thick cord in the center of the handle. A squeeze of the trigger pulls the cord back which pulls it tight and closes the pinchers on the end. They have a decent grip and can pick up almost anything you may need throughout your day. Either side of the pinchers also has a little magnet to help pick up keys and other metals that react to magnets. These are a little on the cheap side and I'm not sure they'll last a long time if used frequently, but they're handy when recovering from an injury that prevents you from bending or reaching. They're quality enough to last a while and with two in the pack, it should be suitable while recovering. ... show more

    • Decent light duty grabber, weak, but good enough for litter pickup
Got this ALFELE Folding Grabber Tool 2-Pack for use in picking up litter, needed something which wouldn't take up much space in my car. Design is alright, fairly simple, a handle with a trigger, two-part tube, grabber actuated by a cable connected to the trigger, but from what I can see without disassembling it looks like both ends of the cable connect to plastic with no metal reinforcement, which suggests a shorter than expected service life, and the tube joint has no hinge or reinforcement. Build quality is good enough, aluminum tube, everything else is plastic, good rubber grip pad, materials are thin, service life will be shorter than similar grabbers with a little more metal reinforcement. Functionality is alright, good enough for my needs, it's weaker than expected, very light weight (compared to all-metal tools), has a good rubber grip surface, makes picking up most litter easy, but is not strong enough for bottles/cans stuck in mud or larger bottles full of water/mud (e.g. 32oz sports drink bottles), both of which can be picked up by heavier duty tools. Magnets work well, but remember stainless steel is less responsive to magnets, and aluminum, brass & bronze do not respond. Price point is consistent with similar items, though some of those are stronger, better built, and will last longer. Overall, 4 stars, decent light duty grabber, weak, but good enough for litter pickup. ... show more
