We were so leery of buying a large piece of furniture online, but we relied heavily on the reviews. The reviews were so valuable, we wanted to leave one too. Pros and cons- Pro- color is fantastic. We ordered the blue velvet and the color is deep and rich. Pro- super easy to assemble, 3 minutes tops. Pro- sturdy! Does not feel like a piece of furniture you just popped together from 5 pieces. Pro- we ordered the ottoman too, and they look great together. Pro- easy to haul individual pieces up/down stairs; no damaged walls or back injuries. Cons- the boxes looked like they’d been dropped on our porch from 10,000 feet with no parachute. I’ve purchased $20 items packed in sturdier cardboard. Sofa was UNDAMAGED. Cushions are stiff at first, but they are softening up with use. You’d expect this from any decent piece of furniture. Well worth the buy. We just ordered the matching chair. ... show more

I’m so glad I canceled my couch order from Joybird (ordered nov 9 and they told me shipping wasnt gonna be til midJanuary) and saw albanypark’s ads on instagram. On Amazon, this couch (blue velvet, left facing, gold legs) costs $1500 but on albanypark’s website it would cost around $1895. I was kinda hesitant to order this company’s couch thru amazon but everything went well. I ordered 12/26 on Amazon and it was delivered to me 01/05 in 4 separate big boxes. I got all of the gold legs, screws, etc. It took me 1-2 hours to assemble but that’s because I did it by myself and did not use an electric drill at first. Out of all the screws there were 2 or 3 holes that were not aligned and so I had to work around it but it was okay in the end. This sectional is soft but not too soft that you would be engulfed by the couch. The fabric is very rich and luxurious. Easy to clean as well. My boyfriend (5’11”) and I (5’4”)have already passed out on this couch overnight and did not have any problems with fitting in it. ... show more

    • A nice cheap portable couch!
As a single female, I bought this couch specifically because I'd need to get it up a flight of stairs and assemble it, during a pandemic, alone. Mission accomplished! A few observations: - It is indeed, an $800 couch. So construction (especially of the supporting frame) is going to be fairly cheap and I knew that going in. It's comfortable, but not for daily, hard use. I was expecting more of a "webbing" kind of frame with more give, but this is harder than that, so be prepared. - The gray fabric is actually nicer than I expected. I ended up going for this color because I knew my cat would love it and the idea of seeing cat fur covering a dark blue couch didn't appeal to me. But because the gray color is a variegated weave, it lends well to the "relaxed, semi unstructured" aesthetic. - The legs (I got black, maybe the gold would look nicer) are pretty cheap looking close up - the feet are welded to the legs instead of it being 1 contiguous piece of metal. I have hardwood so I ordered some SuperSliders formed felt feet (you'll need 1.25inch diameter ones) and they fit the feet perfectly to protect your floors. - The back cushions are pretty firmly puffy. I suspect they'll flatten more with use but initially they make for what feels like a shallower seat depth. - If you're looking for a lighter duty couch that can be easily moved from place to place, this feels pretty nice. Love this couch! Worth every penny. Very comfortable, easily assembled, and super stylish. I had bought a much more expensive couch at Haverty’s but because of Covid the delivery date kept getting pushed back so after four months I just canceled the order and purchased this couch on Amazon. After finding the perfect couch elsewhere, I was told lead time for it was FIVE MONTHS. Not wanting to wait that long, I scoured the internet and other local furniture places for the style of couch I wanted. I can safely say I've looked at hundreds of blue velvet/velvet adjacent couches. H U N D R E D S. Across every major site you can think of. After reading the reviews and being able to get this couch pretty quickly, I decided to pull the trigger on this one, despite trepidation about ordering a couch online. Hence why I felt I should leave a review because I found them SO helpful. I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS COUCH. I got it Saturday and despite coming in two boxes, which I DID have to unbox in my driveway because carrying the boxes in by myself would have been an issue - The individual pieces within the boxes themselves weren't heavy, but I don't think I would have been able to carry each box in and up two sets of stairs by myself (They were pretty large/cumbersome.) However, once I had all the pieces inside (most were cushions) putting it together was a total cinch. It was pretty easy and took me like 20 minutes. Is this couch *slightly* firm? Yes. However, I have spent multiple hours on it every day since I got it and not once been uncomfortable or have I regretted getting it/wished I had gotten another. This couch looks amazing. It's comfy. I really like this sofa a lot. I would have gave it 5 stars but there is like a Plastic crunch sound when you sit on it. It’s looks great and Comfortable without being too firm or too soft. I would buy it again.
