  • Automotive-Construction Materials Akfix P645 metal gap filler has excellent adhesion to sheet iron, aluminum, stainless steel, lead, copper, ceramic, glass, wood and various plastic and metal materials. Joint surfaces must be dry, clean and free of all contamination.
  • Easy to Gun Tooled easily with a caulk gun and cut open the cartridge and cut off the tip at the desired angle. Insert cartridge of this construction sealant in gun and fill the sealant bubble-free continuously into the joint. Smoothen it by pressing with a spatula or similar apparatus.
  • Paintable Sealant It provides waterproof sealing and bonding with a paintable feature at home project and roofing.

A large black bear tried everything he could to get into my teardrop on a recent visit to the Smoky Mountains. In the process, he tore off the waterproof rubber flashing that covers the hinge on the back hatch. What a mess! After removing all the old material and caulking, I installed a new one with this sealant and feel confident it will do the job. It's the exact same compound recommended by NuCamp, the mfr of my Silver Shadow. One note, this stuff is pretty thin and very gooey out of the tube, but cleans up great with alcohol (I used pure 200 proof made for indoor fire pits). It dries in 24 hours with a similar rubbery consistency to silicone which is exactly what you want on a seam that has movement. If I have any issues I will update this review. Works perfe t. No other parts required. Took 15 minutes to do and fixed numerous problems. Old valve turned so hard and was half blocked by twisted up O rings. Water pressure is a little better and camper pump works as it should too. VeryHappy!

Very strong adhesive. Had a sky light that had a tiny leak during the rain. Rather than go out on the roof to fix it, I used this Akfix polyurethane on the interior perimeter. I squirted one single line around the entire edge of the metal glass frame and dried it with a cordless hair dryer. It worked fabulously. Since applying the sealant, we have had 4 days of continuous hard rain and not a single drop of water has come through the ceiling. Awesome product! ... show more

This Product is terrible. I had it for over a month before i used it, and it would not come out of the tube after i punched a whole in the spout When i went to use it. They would not let me return the 3 tubes of seam sealer. So I lost $37.50. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT
