I bought this clock to replace the unit that is on the west wall facing my pool. This wall gets really hot and stays that way well after sunset...I would say it gets over 125F and has full sun for 6 hours. Past clocks worked a year or so. This clock is doing great so far and keeping perfect time. I raised it a little to get more shade in mid afternoon from soffit. It handles sun and heat and keeps time. It is easy to read from 30 feet and is great to supplement timing of swim exercises. ... show more

This clock cost only $9.99. After 2 days, it's been accurate. The second hand sweeps silently, rather than ticking. It's visible from more than 50 feet. The frame is silver and appears, from a distance, to be metal. In fact, the entire clock is plastic. It came with a hook that was designed to be stuck on the wall. It was useless because the adhesive on the back of the hook came off when the hook was separated from its packaging. This certainly isn’t anything fancy, but it’s a great little clock that’s plug and play. Simply drop a double A battery in, and it’s ready to go. Easy to set the time, easy to read from a distance, and easy to mount. It comes with either a sticky pad type of setup, or a small nail setup. It's silent and appears to keep time correctly.
