  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Set your pressure, shuts off automatically!
I had intended to do a video review of the AKASO P10 Tire Inflator but the weather and lack of personal time didn't allow it. HOWEVER, I was able to have enough time to try the product out. The unit itself is pretty straight forward as this style of tire inflator goes. The unit is fairly small and easily stored in your trunk or perhaps even under a car seat. This tire inflator does not have its own battery and connects to a cigarette lighter or 12 volt power port in your vehicle. I found the 12v cord length to probably be adequate for most passenger vehicles. I have a Motor Home that I tried the unit on and found the cord to be a little short for that application. The unit also has a built in whit LED flashlight that can provide some light at night and also a red LED that flashes slowly or fast on another press of the light button. The unit's air hose stores neatly in the back of the unit along with an inflation needle and nozzle for inflateables. The outer casing is made of plastic. The unit also has a nice display on the front where you can set the pressure that you want and visually monitor its progress if you care too. It will also display the current air pressure of whatever it may be connected to. The tire connector is of the lever type, so connection is very easy. The unit also has a thermal protection circuit that will shut the unit off if it becomes too hot. I had an opportunity to put the unit under a fairly grueling test with a tire on my Motor Home. One of the rear tires had been losing air over the winter so I decided to put the AKASO P10 Tire Inflator through its paces with that. As I mentioned earlier, the 12 v power cord was a bit short for this particular application so I connected it to another of my vehicles to get the job done. After I connected the Air Hose to the tire, the display showed that the tire had 13lbs of pressure (out of the 55 it was supposed to have). Using the +/- buttons on the front of the Inflator, I set the pressure for 55lbs and then pushed the power button. The inflator started right up and continued running until the 55lbs I had set it for was reached and then shut itself off. Perfect! It took a few minutes to get that tire back up to pressure, but it was a 16" truck tire that for all intent an purpose was flat. I also fully expected that during this test, the unit's thermal protector might kick in, but it didn't! I also checked for hot areas. the only part o f the unit that became hot was the air hose closest to the inflator casing. Again, this was a pretty extreme use of the AKASO P10 Tire Inflator, so for most people, I don't think the hose being hot by the case would be an issue. It doesn't become hot enough to present immediate burns but hot enough that you can only hang on to it briefly in that area. So, overall, not a bad little Tire Inflator for the money and tougher than it looks! I can see this being used in an emergency, or at the beach, or camping, or blowing up anything that may need it around the home. The one feature in my mind that sets the AKASO P10 Tire Inflator apart from the rest of them is the ability to set the pressure you want and let it do its thing without having to stand watch over it. Set it and forget it! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Super easy to use, cord reaches all around car.
I purchased this back in 2021 and put it in the trunk compartment of my car and forgot about it. Well today I remembered and my tire was low. I hate using the gas station ones and can never figure out how much air needs to be added. This little gadget took care of all of that. I just set it 35 psi and let it do it's thing. Easy peasey!!! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Portable Tire Inflator
Style: 20V Battery + 12V Car Power Adapter
I’ve used a corded tire inflator in the past, and it was very inconvenient for checking and inflating my tires. You need another tire gauge to check the pressure after inflation as the built-in gauge is not that accurate. Unwinding and rewinding the power cord and inflator hose to fit back inside the inflator compartment is always a hassle. Next item I bought was a small air compressor from Harbor Freight, it is a nice equipment to have if you are maintaining multiple vehicles as it inflates tires in seconds, but the problem is you can’t take it with you in your car as it is bulky and needs AC power. It also has the pressure accuracy and cord/hose unwinding issue as the first one. This Akaso portable air compressor solves those problems. It has a built-in digital pressure gauge which reads the actual pressure in the tire, as well as an adjustable preset for the target tire pressure. Upon reaching the preset pressure, the unit stops automatically. I compared the pressure shown versus a dial pressure gauge and they were spot on, both 32 psi. I deflated one tire down to 20 psi to test the unit, and it reached preset 32 psi in exactly 3 minutes (small car tire 245/40 x R18). I then checked the rest of the tires and all 4 tires on an SUV, inflated them from their actual pressure of 29.5 psi to preset 32 psi in less than 1 min each. I started with a fully charged battery and finished all that with battery indicator still showing 3 out of 3 bars. If you happen to need it in an emergency and the battery is not charged, then there is backup power supply that uses the car cigarette lighter. Portable inflators are typically loud, but this unit sounded quiet to me, at least not as loud as the corded unit nor the small air compressor. Only precaution to take is not to touch the hose where it connects to the inflator as it could get hot, specially after prolonged use. But that is normal, compressing air does build up heat in any case. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars So far, So good
I previously owned a Kensun inflator I bought it here 3.5 years ago. The Kensun saved my butt last year on the road. However, yesterday I tried to use it to "top off" 10 tires (2 cars, 1 spare each). While inflating the seventh tire it 'melted down'...almost literally. It got hot and then stopped, emitting a pungent burning stench. And never turned on again. So, back to the drawing board. I got this. I am leaving in a couple weeks on the annual 500 mile migration to my summer residence, so I decided to try it to be sure it works. I inflated the remaining 3.5 tires and 2 bicycle tires. It worked. It did not shut off; burst into flames; or even heat up (much). I thought this was AC/DC, oh well, guess I should have paid more attention. I should have known from the price. The Kensun was AC/DC and was >$70.00 Hopefully it will not be needed for anything more than 'topping off'. Some Notes: • The power cord is nice and long. • The inflator hose is of a good length and stores neatly into a groove on the back • Accuracy seems off a bit. EX: I set it to inflate a spare (donut) to 55 and it stopped at 50. It's gauge even said 50! (as did my stand alone gauge). • The cord stores in the bottom nicely. • It comes with adaptors, like for balls, but the storage on the bottom has no cover, so no place to keep them. (keep the box it comes in) ... show more
