I have had this product since Aug 2020. The video camera has exceptional quality. I was really pleased and surprised with how good the quality of the video was. I used the highest quality settings. I use the video to capture my young son in fun activities. Akaso EK7000 does a great job capturing action shots. We have used it on hikes, running a corn maze, and bicycle rides. The video quality is excellent. I haven’t owned a go pro or any other action cameras. All I can compare it to is my iPhone 8. The video quality on the Akaso EK 7000 has better video quality than my iPhone and it is easier for me to download the video to my computer. I save memory space on my iPhone and I get action shots easier by mounting the Akaso EK7000. I feel like I don’t have to sacrifice my iPhone for action videos. I was going to download a video to show people, but I realized that the video quality is compressed on Amazon reviews so you will not get the true image quality as the actual product. You can look at the other reviews for video quality samples. Just make a note, it is actually better quality when you have the actual product. The camera does take a little of settings that you need to get used to. Most of the small issues are user error. When I first purchased the camera the setting were set to sepia, so the brightness looked way off. I didn’t realize this until I switch the settings. When I switched the setting to color, it really improved the quality of the videos. There are sound quality issues when you have the water proof case on it. It is harder to hear what other people are saying. I think it’s difficult to get a good quality sound on a small camera like this. The sound is decent indoors and when the people are close. It’s much harder outdoors with a case on the video camera. Overall the Akaso EK7000 is definitely worth the money and is an excellent video camera for the price. The image quality is amazing. The camera is very portable and very easy to mount on. Akaso EK7000 gives you plenty of accessories to mount the camera in various ways. I can’t wait to use this camera in the water. Technology is so much more advanced since the over the shoulder VHS tape days. This will definitely capture your outdoor adventures. For a third of the price of a go pro, this is a really good deal. The camera itself is okay, pictures seem to turn out good and it shoots videos in 1080p well. However, at 4k and even 2.7k the video begins to stutter - a lot. Certainly not the 25 and 30 fps that it is supposed to have. Granted, this could be something I messed up in the settings but I am skeptical of that. In high light settings the camera performs excellently, in the dark recesses of a canyon, where I use it, not so much. The camera can be used as a webcam which I thought was pretty cool but you definitely need a well lit room in order for it to look good. The other paraphernalia that came with the camera is awesome. My only complaint about the mounting hardware is that it didn't come with any way to screw any of the mounts directly into a helmet, for most people the adhesive mount would work fine but what I use it for, canyoneering, it would get knocked off quite fast. A couple of 5 cent screws from a hardware store made it much more suitable for my needs. The waterproof housing is very well made, I've had it completely submerged and banged on rocks and it has held up quite well. The extra battery was a very nice inclusion and makes the camera last quite a while. AKASO customer service has been very good. When I received the package a while back it came with a note thanking me for the purchase, which I guess is standard nowadays but then they followed up and sent me a letter asking me how I liked the product (and to leave a review). Overall, this is an excellent budget camera for most people. It's not a go pro, and it's not going to have the quality of one but that's not what this camera is designed for. For what it is, a budget action camera, it is great. I dinged a star because of the frame rate issue when recording higher resolution video, otherwise I would have given it a 5/5. ... show more
