The media could not be loaded. They are sturdy enough for our indoor arena, haven't tried them in the wind, but I have brushed against one and it didn't fall. The smell is very bad! But worth it.

This is the first hurdle set I have owned and it's pretty neat. The assembly is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. The set as a whole is lightweight and very easy to transport. When you're done, take it apart for easy storage. Overall it seems well made and it's easy to use. You need the base (sold separately) to go with the poles, but the poles themselves are good tools to add to your training gear. Prefer these to the ones you stick in to the ground b/c we train on turf. Not the most durable, they will crack and break if too much pressure is put on them. I purchased this item to use as a base for pole bending poles (a horseback riding sport) I purchased a threaded 1” pipe converted and screwed And glued the thread into the rubber hole then attached a 1” x 6’ pole. I may have to add more weight to the base as they do fall over easy, but they were not designed to hold the height pole I have inserted. So all in all I am very happy with my purchase! Awful, toxic smell. I was at work and kids emptied out the house thinking we had a gas leak. Turns out these rubber bases had just arrived via Amazon and stunk up the house with a chemical-type smell. Will be sending back unfortunately
