We needed a tension rod to curtain off a cased opening in our basement. This one was inexpensive, so I figured I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did. The rod comes in three pieces that screw together. Because of this, I initially thought it was designed for two different lengths: three pieces for some specific larger size, two pieces for some specific smaller size. However, once I put them together—our 36″ opening only needs two—I was happily proven wrong. Once assembled, it’s just like any other tension rod: twist it until you get close to the desired length, stick it in place, and twist a little more. It really couldn’t be much easier.
