  • What a fantastic little amp
After much fan fare, great reviews (cheap audio man etc.) and waiting for it to finally come back in stock, I have to say I’m super pleased with this little beast. I have it hooked up to my Klipsch RP600M, Apple AirPort express via optical for Airplay2, and my turntable via Fosi Audio Box X2 preamp to the RCA inputs. I also have my Klipsch powered sub attached via the Aux out. The majority of my listening has been done via Apple Music through the optical/DAC. Right off bat, the sound is fantastic. The sound stage impressive for an amp this price, and once I had the tone controls dialed in (two pips down on the bass, three up on the treble for me!) the tone and texture are equally good. The tubes really do add a touch of warmth and soften the digital input (I’m looking forward to doing some tube rolling too). The Airplay is so good I’ve not even tried the the Bluetooth. One notable thing that should be mentioned is the power saving click. When the amp loses signal for 10 seconds in any input, there is an audible ‘click’. This can be off putting at first, but as I understand it, it’s a mechanism to prolong the life of the box. After a while I don’t even notice it, just know that it’s not the unit being defective, it’s by design. Oh and it’s even got a remote! Pretty basic, but does the job. Over all I can’t sing the praises high enough for this little amp, it offers fantastic bang for the buck and even looks super cool. The VU meter is a nice touch, though I never listen loud enough to get it jumping much! ... show more

  • Ridiculously good for the price
This sounds shockingly good for something at this price. I'm an audio snob, so I was a little skeptical of the reviews saying what I am. But I figured I'd try it. Its definitely no where even CLOSE to100 watts per channel, so you need pretty sensitive speakers for a medium or larger room. But put some good tunes in there (the stock tubes suck) and you have a fantastic unit for this price. Currently using RCA nickel plate 5ak5. ... show more

  • The sweet spot
<Honest review here> Woah. For the price, this amp is a powerhouse. Paired with my klipsch rp-600m it sounds fantastic. Room filling sound, incredible detail on music, & films. Along with the versatility options, this little guy is solid in the hand, packs a good punch, and even looks great. For what its worth the packaging was on par for a rainy day, the tubes were slightly bent at the nodes yet still work just fine. there is a slight wiggle when inserted but who doesnt like a little four play? ;) a warm hum when powered on, yes it has a click when not in use. Like when youre picking the next song or movie, Totally not an issue. After a few weeks of using this amp I've had zero issues and have accepted that anything could happen and it would be money well spent. Who knows, maybe it will outlast us all. Its really all I needed for now.. Im hearing things I've never heard before, Blade runner, AMAZING. Twin peaks FWWM, brilliant. Goodfellas, sopranos, fuggetaboutit. And the meter works well, even kept up with the Great Neil Peart! ... show more

  • Nice little amp
I'm pretty impressed with this little amp. The sound from such a small box is quite impressive, just good clean audio. I spent a day so far tinkering with fine tuning sound etc, and all functions seem to work well. No high pitch noises or squealing like you get with some of the lesser known amplifiers. Aiyima just puts out solid products and this little guy is one of 'em. With all this said I do believe this amp will work best in a nearfield application, such as a desktop setting. It is definitely a nice little amp, but I think it'd be unfair to expect it to run power hungry speakers and sound like a 5oo dollar reciever. However I did use the stock 24 volt ac adapter so upgrading to a higher rated adapter is prolly the best way to go if trying to push a large set of speakers. All in all I'm pleased with the product and feel most others will be too. This is my honest take of the Aiyima t9 amplifier. ... show more

  • Has its quirks but an incredible value still
I have this running a pair Klipsch RP-500ms. I also have an active Klipsch 12” amp connected to it. The sound is incredible for such a small and inexpensive amplifier. Not only do the speakers sound great, they can really climb in volume with this amp. I’ve yet to even get close to max volume. And even at high volumes the quality and clarity of the sound is excellent. I have a Wiim streamer running into the amp. I also found a great little dac that has an HDMI arc input. I have that running between my tv and the amplifier. Movies and even Amazon Music tv app sound incredible. The dac allows me to control the volume on the tv with the tv remote. One of the cons is the remote. It is as generic as can be. It works as needed though. Also, not only can you hear the power drain while the unit is off, it has sparked when plugging in a coaxial cable. Overall this amp has some quirks, but the upside far outweighs the downside. Definitely worth every penny so far. ... show more

  • They don't last long, enjoy while you can
So, I read the reviews on YouTube and Amazon and decided to buy one. For $130 why not? Well, I liked the little thing, sounded good. So I assume it would only last a year at best, so I bought a second one to "save away". The first one had one of the channels die within a week. Send it back for a replacement. The replacement came and it lasted a little longer, about 3 weeks, and a channel blew out again. Tried to exchange it but because of some wierd Amazon thing, I could only ask for a refund. But here's the catch, when you do a "replacement order"for a defective item the replacement one shows up as costing $0.00. So no refund! Had to call Amazon, which is like trying to pull teeth from a tiger. Finally was told "they will credit my account when they get the broken unit back" Oh, and I had to send it UPS ground, the only option they allowed me, so it willbe weeks before I get my money back! So I'm using the "reserve" one I bought. If this one blows, can't return it since I'm past my 30 days on that one. I guess I should have known better, going to buy a decent system once this thing dies. My guess is in about a week if I'm lucky. So if you have money to play with, buy it, but if you don't have any throw away money, do not buy this! ... show more
