At 49, this is a game changer for me and my makeup routine. I decided to give it a try based on other reviews. I apply it over my liquid foundation with a big powder brush I had bought from Thrive cosmetics. I don't use much and it doesn't seem to enhance wrinkles and pores like my compact powder did. It also seems to absorb oils better so my T zone doesn't look as oily towards mid day like before. I shake some powder into the lid then swirl my bush in it to even out the powder then brush it over my face. The one thing I would say that surprised me at first was the strong fragrance but it doesn't bother me so I either get used to it or it quickly dissipates. I purchased this powder after hearing so many good things about it. While it performs just as well or even better than my Laura Mercier translucent powder for a huge fraction of the cost, there are a few things that did lead me to drop it down a star. First of all, the packaging needs work. The lid is not secure - you just simply pull the lid off and place it back on. I need to be especially careful when storing my powder or else the lid will come off or if I drop it then powder will get everywhere. Second, I didn't realize how fragrant the powder was going to be. I am sensitive to a lot of fragrances and I sometimes get headaches so this product is a hit or miss depending on the day. Most days I can tolerate it but some days it makes me nauseous. If it wasn't for the fact that the powder blends well on my face and doesn't cake throughout the day, I'd probably say this was a waste of money but I can't argue when I'm saving a lot more money when I'm dropping cash on powder. Overall, I recommend this product if you're looking for a cheap, quality powder. But I'd stay away if you're extremely sensitive to perfumy fragrances especially since the smell is on your face. ... show more
