Great little router offering all the protection of the tried-and-tested ExpressVPN brand for all your family as you travel. Can even be powered by a simple USB-C power bank! As others have highlighted it does need a firmware update to realise it's full potential - this can be done by temporarily connecting a wire to it or contacting their customer support to do it from your mobile. The item is fairly new. I have used it for a few days in an Airbnb and it seems very convenient. The only issues I experienced is the Aircove Go’s signal drops from devices from time to time so I had to reconnect more than I wanted to and the item get hot to the touch. I’m not sure if this is normal. Perhaps it isn’t supposed to be used continuously?? ... show more

    • It works as advertised.
I ilke the router overall, the only thing is that some video streaming apps don't work with VPN sites. I have to change to random VPN sites in order for the video stream apps to work.

    • It doesn't work connected to Wifi on Hotels or sites with authentication
It works if you connect to an ethernet cable or a regular wifi protected by password. It doesn't work on Hotels or sites that have open wifi that needs authentication in a browser page. This is critical for people that buy this and plan to travel and have VPN stable in those sites, which is probably the main reason for many to buy it. Tried support but the offer limited help applying same steps, with no real troubleshoot. The problem is you have to connect your device (phone / tablet /pc) to the wifi of the Aircove in order to connect to the hotel wifi, using their app/website in the router connects, but then you have to open the authentication page in your device, but those pages are routed to public sites as captiva.apple.com, and obviously the device has no internet, while connected to the aircove go and cannot open the authentication page due invalid address error. This basic concept should be understand by ExpressVPN support but they go around in circles and cannot understand or resolve the issue. Bottom line, it doesn't work in that scenario which is critical if you are traveling, which is the main reason for having this kind of device. ... show more

Works very well, for the simple things great, I'm not a internet wizz I wanted to see the BBC in Italy and it was a NO GO asked tech support very kind but NO GO, it's not that simple without being a internet guy, headlines are very good when buying.

    • Outdated Aircove Go OS out of the box
So I was super excited to get this product from Express VPN with WiFi link connectivity (ability to connect over an existing wifi network instead of LAN using an ethernet cable). But the Aircove Go router I got came with a default 4.6.xx Operating System. To get the WiFi link feature you must be on 4.7.1 or higher apparently. And no instructions on how to Upgrade to next version. Is this the user experience you want to give to your customers, Express VPN? Who would know this? The prime ad message for Go is so you can connect over WiFi. And it ships with an outdated OS version rendering unable for travel!! Way to GO.... ... show more
