I am a heavy diesel mechanic for a living and use this impact almost daily (at-least once a week). The quality is good and it’s not very heavy compared to other brands. It’s got the power as long as you have the air pressure. Would recommend it to anyone ! I have been using it now for 7 months

Purchased the 1778vxl after searching around for a gun that would compete with my coworkers cornwell cat3125 3/4 gun with 1800ftlbs torque that seems to be the top pick with heavy duty techs i have worked with. Where to start with but WOW does this thing have power for the money. The 1778vxl has no problem going head to head with the cat3125 and for about 300 dollars less then cornwell what a steal. If your looking to purchase a 3/4 gun stop looking and just buy the aircat you won't find a better power to cost ratio. The grip and the trigger fit good into the hand and make it easy to hold and control the gun while using. The only small complaint I have which is not a big deal but the nose cone of the gun is slightly bigger then the cornwell by maybe 1/4 inch which could be I have the rubber boot on mine. It makes it just slightly hard getting off drive wheels off semi trucks. The gun doesn't clear the axle cleanly like i wish it would but a short extension would fix the issue though. I have only used it one time so far and seems to be working great. I purchased the 1” gun last year, wow!…..it has been working perfectly, very powerful, takes off even the tightest wheel nuts ( make sure air supply is adequate and air hose is at least 1/2”).     • Big power, needs more durability

Been using for 2 years in a diesel shop. Will take off all the lug nuts and still has the same power as day one, easily can run lug nuts to 600ftlb which is too much but it can do it. Has the torque to remove pinion nuts and driveshaft yoke nuts. You must use 1/2” hose with 1/2” fittings as well as air tool oil or the trigger starts to stick and loses a little power. Problem is that the handle cracked about 6 months in where it meets the body. Small cracks but lets air pass through which pushed some of the rubber over mold off. It was like this until about a month ago another crack came out on the other side of the handle. It’s been a great impact but it’s beating itself to death. Never dropped it or tossed it on the floor and run a 3ft whip hose, but probably getting replaced with a SnapOn soon. ... show more

I've put this up against every other brand of 3/4 in my shop. Snap-On, Matco, Cornwell, and Ingersoll and has smoked all the competition. My guys will be like "Dude nothing will take this off/make it any tighter", and I'll be like wanna bet, and bring out the BEAST and blow their minds. Definitely worth the money and by far way cheaper, quieter, stronger(it's got the whole can of beans), and less vibration. The media could not be loaded. I ran this off my semi air tank using 3/8 npt / 3/8 body connectors from Grainger not that 1/4 stuff but man this thing unleashed hell on those bolts. I only recommend this tool if you're changing semi tires or doing some heavy duty work. Anything other than that you will start breaking off bolts. Ima give it a 5 star because its more compact and powerful than the competitors. My only con about this tool is the control switch on the side. I don't like it. Its too easy to move. The 2 forward modes feel like it has the same power. I'm more of a fan of the Ingersoll Rand controls. ... show more

It's a great impact, I use it at work as a ag technician for work. Removes stuck wedge bolts on 8r and 9r series tractors with ease. Sometimes have to use and extension on it because the impact is quite stubby. But for the money I'm more than happy with it

Light weight. Surprisingly quite. Uses very little air. Had several cheap 3/4 guns that never lasted more than a year. This one uses half the air to get the job done at half the noise of my other ones. I can remove all 10 nuts from a semi wheel with a wheelbarrow style gas compressor without having to wait for the compressor to catch up. ... show more
