    • Great for Tesla Model 3 2021
I was kind of nervous before doing this, but the car was getting bad smells. The tools came with the filters were great, although no instructions at all. For Tesla Model 3 2021, you only need to unscrew one of those on the panel before you can lift off the rectangle cover. It took some giggling to pull out the old filter (hint: try to pull in the middle instead of pulling the tab because the old ones will be thrown away anyway). Installing the new ones (these are hard-framed so you can't bend/squeeze them) were not easy either, but again eventually it worked. And I hope I got them with the correct direction (because there is no arrow on the filters). Again, nice product! ... show more

    • Oem fit
The fit and build quality seems great. It came with the tabs just like the oem filters for easy installation and removal for next filter change. Love that it came with the torx wrench for easy installing. Overall, great for the price.

    • Smell when it rains or is humid
It did remove the original smell of the 3 year old original filters but a new smell took its place. Will not be buying charcoal filters again. I’ll stick with the original hepa type

Filter Quality: Seems to be very good. I was concern that if the frame is plastic, would it provide a good seal. Glad to see that it has foam around the plastic. Not too bulky either since it slided right in the airfilter slot. The carbon fiber at the back seems to be very good as well and the filter ridges seems good. I tried to blow air on it and i didn't feel much air on the otherside. I am slightly concerned that not enough air is flowing through it. I do wish the pull tab on the corner was a bit longer for future removal. Tool Quality: The small plastic pry bar worked really well. I was able to use the edges to pull out the push pin and the plastic covers. I kind of wish the Allen Wrench was a bit shorter. You don't need a lot of strength to remove a small screw. However, for older Model 3s, the screw is above the air filter cover. There isn't a lot of room to work. A smaller wrench would've made the turns a lot easier once the screw is loose. Concerns: Air flow!! After the filter has been installed, it seems that the AC unit is working harder. Seems like I can hear the fan noise a lot more. It has also been quite a bit hotter were I'm located. I will keep an eye out fo for this. Installation Tips: 1. A socket wrench with the right T screw head would make the cover removal a lot easier. 2. You need a light source. Flashflight or something that can flood a lot of light. 3. Handheld vacuum! It is recommended that you get a bottle of AC condenser cleaner and spry down the condenser. During that process, you will turn on the AC on high for about 10 mins. All the stuff (small leafs, grass, or anything else) that was stuck in the airvent will blow out of there. It was a mess! 4. There are a couple of YouTube videos on installation. They made the process very easy. 5. Reinstalling the panel underneath the glove box is tricky. There are two holes that should match up with two plastic holders, make sure they match up! ... show more

    • Get Rid of That Pesky A/C Odor
Finally got the chance to use this air filter, after we noticed a very bad odor in our Tesla. We were worried that an animal had crawled in and died! Not really, but the smell was really bad. After doing a little online research, we thought changing the air filter would be the best bet for solving the smell. And it was! Like magic! So glad to know this is the fix that is needed, for next time. I appreciate that a small installation tool comes with it, just for convenience. It didn't take too long to change, after I watched a couple of videos to help. The bad odor was gone immediately, and that was so nice! The filter itself seems to be made of quality materials, and the price is comparable to those I'd looked at before. Bottom line, I feel this is a good product, at a good price, that gave us immediate good results. That's a win! ... show more

1. Really like the inclusion of tools to remove trim and torx. 2. Filter is well constructed. 3. Cabin air filters are always fiddly to change - youtube tutorials are helpful here. Have not fitted it to my car yet (current filter only 5 months old), but planning for readiness when the current filter starts to smell/limit flow. ... show more
