When I got this I originally thought that the back of the led strip was an adhesive tape. When I didn't see it I was a bit confused. This came with tabs that you had to screw in. I only wish that the screws were slightly longer. As they are shorting then the tab they go into. Making it a bit tricky to insert. Yes, you have to insert the screw into the hole inside the tab. Problem is the screw is shorter. I have to carefully angle and drop the screw into the hole and pull the screw from the bottom of the tab in order to fully insert the screw. That was the hardest and tedious part of the installation process. I already had long narrow screwdriver set that allowed the screwdriver to fit inside the tab. FYI, regular screwdrivers won't fit as it will be too wide. Illumination is decent. Does a pretty good job lighting up one half of the room that is roughly 20' wide. I would need another set for the other side of the room to get good illumination. Wish I could get that for free. ... show more

Absolutely love these lights. The colors are vibrant, but not as vibrant as pictured. Comes with a remote which makes it easy to control. Installation is a little bit difficult. They do not have adhesive on them so it makes it a little bit hard to put up. Tried using double sided sticky tape , but it doesn’t stick to the actual rope light. Now, the lights itself comes with clips that you screw into the wall/ceiling and you just clip the lights into it. That process is easier than expected but time consuming. ... show more

I may just haven't figured out how, but the entire 52 feet seem locked on one color at a time. I thought based on the picture that you could have a color wave effect so the colors can move visually down the line. I haven't installed them yet because I'm thinking of returning them for a different set that is more to the lighting effects I was hoping for. Tried the music sync and it was "meh" at best. After trying to install standard LED strips in a diffusing tray and giving up, we ordered these as a Hail Mary. They were so easy to put up, they look great and have many configurations of colors. The clips seem durable and handled us repositioning them many times.
