It took me a while to assemble, but I did it by myself and it was relatively easy. Directions are clearly marked and have notes to point out key elements before moving forward! The hindges are able to hold the weight of my cat (13-14 pounds) jumping on and moving about while pulled up. And the alignment of the top wood grain seemed to match up close 'nough! ... show more

Great product, went together as it was supposed to. I had no issues like the ones stated in the bad reviews. It looks nice, works as stated. Obviously it is a kit, and not made of solid wood. However, it looks nice and does the job.

So, it does work as advertised, it opens and closes with relative ease although it does give out on one side after a while and my God it was not fun to put together. Messed it up a few times but eventually got it done. Survived a move just fine and is still in great condition. Bit of a heavy thing though. ... show more

It assembles like any other particle board furniture that you can buy. Isn’t complicated for anyone who has done it before. The finish does look good and fits with other pieces of the same style of wood from different brands. There are some downsides that you should be aware of. The table top is not the sturdiest, it supports my laptop and the weight of my hands resting on it but it is flimsy when pulling it out or putting it back down. You must pull the table out squarely or the table will get stuck. You need to close the table, or open it, all the way yourself or it will slam shut and anything still on it will slide off the table top. A spring is not a good design for this type of table. I ended up putting a few felt furniture pads under the table top to soften the shutting of the lid. If you go that route then you’ll want to put some under the fixed section of the table so they are at the same height. The other issue is the uneven gap between the fixed section and the folding section(see the two pictures attached). This is probably the hardest to fix and the most annoying downside to this table. It’s an eyesore on what is otherwise a nice looking table. After an hour of trial and error I ended up putting a few washers on the bolts that attach the table to the metal frame underneath(see the last picture). I put them in between the frame and the bottom of the table on the side with the smallest gap(see picture again). Put them on the two bolts on either side of the gap. This did end up mostly solving the uneven gap, however I often have to push the table over towards the fixed top to close the gap a bit. Do not over tighten the screws or they will strip out the wood and only tighten the screws once. They will not tighten properly if they have been tightened once already. They will strip out. All in all it’s an okay table for the price but if you’re looking for a table that you only have to put together and it work then I would suggest looking for a different brand. ... show more

Holes did not align, from the beginning it wasn't great but now, just months after purchase, it feels like its going to fall apart. Opening the lift top is a balancing act as the table wobbles back and forth, feeling like its going to pop off. The corners are extremely sharp and you're guaranteed to scratch yourself on it. Do not buy this if you want to set things on a stable surface, have kids or pets, or value your calves not being gouged by this table's sharp corners. I've put up with this table for too long, now its being disassembled to go in the trash. I don't know how many of these other reviews are fake, but in the best case scenario I received a different product than other buyers and you should be wary of the same. ... show more

    • Great if you don't mind a little assembly at home!!
The springs included softly allow the lift table to descend back into its original position. It is slightly longer that I thought seeing it in person than taking the measurements. They included a screwdriver and Allen wrench and that is really all you need. I was able to assemble the table by myself in around 45 minutes. With a second person, which is recommended, we could have finished it within 20-25 minutes easily. I love the hidden drawer and side pouch to put my magazines and save even more space for the top table. The metal frame at the bottom is very sleek, with curved edges to look more sleek but still keep that industrial look of exposed metal. All said and done, great buy with a little time to put it together and save money by doing/ buying it myself. The bottom ends work great with 'sliders' because of their round design. ... show more

The assembly instructions were not the easiest to understand and the font was so tiny I had to take pictures on my phone and zoom in to read them. I actually put one panel on backwards but it was the one you attach the magazine holder to which I chose not to use because it’s fabric and doesn’t look right on a piece of furniture. The panel that moves is a bit wiggly but all in all sturdy and I love it! ... show more
