I had been using the same dingy, beat up, smallest-you-can-imagine desk for my setup at least 10 years. When I saw this desk, I thought it looked really nice. And it is! It was delivered intact, without damage, and was really easy to assemble. I would recommend having someone help hold certain parts while you screw them in, however. I learned that the hard way. The LEDs are generally unnecessary editions but still a welcome, functional, and nice-looking addition to the overall product. The power outlets are also quite nice, and even has 2 USB power ports to charge phones, headphones, etc. They also include some straps to tie down some of the wires to the frame of the desk for easier wire management. The only two real problems I have with this desk is the sturdiness, and the fact that the black non-wood version material-- you will leave fingerprints ALL OVER IT when you touch it, but a few wipes from a towel will get rid of that problem. BUT it could also be a bit more sturdy, especially since it has such a high shelf section. But as long as you aren't shaking it around or pounding it with your fist to oblivion, it shouldn't be much of an issue. It's got lots of leg room and fits most office-sized chairs underneath. The media could not be loaded. I love this desk. It's spacious, very good size for an adult. Very sturdy and heavy, I was not the one who put it together, but I was told it was a pain and took a few hours for one person, but definitely worth it, directions were not the best and my boyfriend told me the screws were not labeled. Would be easier if 2 people put it together, but I was at work at the time. The box did come damaged, but nothing inside was damaged or missing. The shelves are sturdy and I do not have the headset hanger on the side because the side it has to go on is touching the wall, I do have the magazine/book holder on the end and I really enjoy that. Decent room in the holder and it does just hang there so I wouldn't recommend putting a bunch of heavy books in it. The outlets work well, you have to push whatever uoure plugging In a little hard which makes me worry, but nothing I have in is going to come in and out consistently to the point where it would damage it. The leds are a nice touch and work well, when you hit mode+, itll change what the lights do, I have not figured out how to go just to the steady one light unless I hit the music button an then change the color. We got this desk for my girlfriend's art room, and we love it. It is extremely sturdy and stable, has plenty of room for use and storage and decoration, and because it can be assembled in several different ways, it really can be customized to a space. Building it isn't hard by any means, but it does require a good bit of patience and effort. There's a LOT to screw together, and because it's customizable, you can't just follow your intuition on what goes where if you want it to come out right. Highly recommend waiting to tighten any of your screws until they're all in. I will say, I would like a version of this desk that's a few inches deeper and longer. A little more surface space would make a huge difference, and I think it would fit our space better ... show more

Super simple instructions with instructions for EACH configuration. Took me about an hour to assemble. No issues. Hardware is strong. Just need a hammer or hard flat thing to bang in the adjustable bottoms into the legs. Everything else is included. This desk was a huge upgrade from my old desk which was just a particle board junk desk. Metal framing makes this very sturdy. I LOVE the pre-installed LEDS. Worth every penny $160. ... show more
