You can put it in your pond, rockery, fish tank, vase, birdbath, etc. Then it will create a magical atmosphere. Mist Maker Size: 3.5 cm diameter, 4cm tall. Disc: 1.6cm. Output Voltage: 24V DC. With a US AC/DC adapter. Input: 110-250V, 50/60Hz Output: DC 24V, 700mA Points for attention: 1. Do not turn over the Mist Maker When the switch is turned on, keep upright, or it may damage the atomizer. 2. Please ensure that the daily running time is less than 10 hours, otherwise the life of atomizing slice will be shorted. 3. Don't touch the atomizing slice while the Mist Maker is working. 4. Ensure the water at high quality, use clean tap water. (Water quality deterioration may influence the lifetime) 5. Please switch off the power before Movement or maintenance. 6. The atomizing slice is consumable, and its service life is=3000 hours. My son’s Spotted Python is in his room… where he has AC and fans constantly running. We were struggling with the humidity at first and I considered all sorts of expensive, complicated solutions. Instead, we took a chance and got this little thing. We used one of those glass mason jar style mugs with a lid that has a hole for a straw. We used the straw hole for the cord (the cord is in 2 pieces so super easy to fit) and played around with how many extra holes we needed to drill to get the proper humidity. We ended up with about a dozen small holes for the mist to eek thru. Our Python only needs about 60% humidity but you could definitely get a full-on Halloween, dry ice style mist in a Viv if you wanted/needed to. It’s inexpensive, simple, and small enough to fit in just about anything so there’s not a bunch of visible and clunky tech in a BioActive or naturalistic set-up. Vraska the Python has had PERFECT sheds every single time after getting this. It worked so well that we ended up buying another one for a friend with a Ball Python. And she loves it, too. (I used to have one of these years ago, too. I kept it in a large decorative bowl with crystals and pretty rocks. Makes for a nice decor piece as well as the functionality we are using it for now) ... show more

This fogger worked really great for my plants but unfortunately it stopped working. I bought it about 2 months ago and like i said it served its purpose but i’ll have to buy a different one. I probably won’t return this because it would be too much of a hassle

I bought this for my chameleon's enclosure. I had to return it because it stopped working after less than an hour. I didn't like how you have to keep this so close to the top if the water in order to get any mist; I had it in a Mason jar and it would not produce any fog/mist if it was near the bottom of the jar. When it was near the top to ACTUALLY PRODUCE FOG, the water sprayed all over. Less than an hour after getting it to work, it just stopped working altogether. I tried rinsing it, plugging it into a different outlet, and it was simply non-functional. I had to return it. I had high hopes for this to work, but I ended up sad because I have to buy a different misting machine when it was all said and done. ... show more

I have used one of these devices before and they work well and do last when using distilled water. I used this one in a 5-gallon desktop terrarium/paludarium and I’m really happy with the fog effect. This one is submersed by about a 1/4 inch and it does splash a little but it’s not really disruptive. I did plug it into a timer switch because the fog fills up the whole tank pretty fast. We do like this, but don't use it often. We have it in our paludarium, so the fog sits on top of the water, surrounding the plants above the water. we have it in a back corner of our fish tank, which is hard to get too, but we can't help but worry a fish may touch it while it's on, which wouldn't be good. You also really need to situate it JUST right to block some of the splashing and still produce mist. But it is super cool when it's on, and I like that. ... show more

Am using two of these with floats in a 5 gallon bucket with a 110 cfm fan to humidify a 4x8 space. It can raise the humidity 5% in about 3 minutes at 78 degrees. I'm very pleased with price vs performance of these units.

Sadly Amazon won't let me post my video but this is a great product. I use it in my tank for show only because it raises the moisture in the tank of left on for a long time and my plants don't like that, but if that is what you are looking for then perfect! It was fun to use as a smoking witches cauldron for Halloween decor as well. Easy to set up and use! ... show more

Needed the fog effect for a display. Unfortunately, not only did I get fog, which was great, but water shot up about 4 inches and splashed the display. If you don't mind the water splashing, it does create a good fog.
